Chapter 18

As the next few months had passed by, I was even happier than before. Being with Eren, he had given me reasons to enjoy things. He was patient with me through all my grumpy times.

My world has been black and white ever since Petra left, but Eren has given my world a splash of color. The thought of Petra hasn't even come to my mind ever since me and Eren had met.

He made me forget about my past and focused on us. Currently, we were laying down on my couch. I was on top of him as he began to play with my hair.

I loved days like this, where we were able to lounge around during our day-offs. Winter has ended and all of the snow had melted. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day.

We were currently watching on Netflix, while stealing a few kisses here and there. Though, I was more paid attention to Eren more than a show that was playing right now.

" Hey, Eren ", his eyes were still focused on the T.V. He hummed as I called his name.

" Do you want to grab a coffee ? And also visit Hanji, she's going on break soon ", he nodded his head in agreement. I got off of him but was pulled back.

Eren pulled me into a lustful kiss before I pulled back. I went to change into jeans and put on a shirt since I was basically only in sweats. I grabbed my keys and wallet and saw that Eren was already out the door.

I made sure to lock the door behind me but I didn't see Eren in sight. I looked around the car and still couldn't spot him. At this point, my heart was racing until he popped out and scared me.

" Shitty brat, you almost gave me a heart attack ", I clutched onto my chest. He chuckled and pulled me into a hug before getting inside the car.

I got in after and we finally drove off. It didn't take long until we finally arrived at Starbucks. We entered, I went to the lunchroom to find Hanji while Eren takes our order.

" Oi, Hanji ", she was on her phone texting someone when she noticed me. Her feet were propped onto another chair.

" Oh, hey. What are you doing here ? ", she gave me a questioning look. I only rolled my eyes.

" Isn't it obvious ? Me and Eren came here to have lunch with you. Sit with us ", I spotted Eren at a table on his phone. We made our way over and sat with him.

All three of us were just talking about random things until the barista called our order out. I got up and grabbed our drinks handing one of them to Eren.

Just as I was about to sit down, Hanji's eyes went wide. She even whispered 'fuck' as she slapped herself. Me and Eren gave her a worried and confused look.

" Levi, whatever you do, please do not look behind you. And keep your head down low ", she used her other hand to cover her face. I didn't listen to her though, so I turned around.

There, I saw her. The women who has broke my heart. The women who had left me for another man. The women with short, strawberry colored hair standing in line. Everything came rushing down towards me.

I turned around, squeezing my eyes shut to prevent tears from falling. Why is she here ? Eren noticed my clenched hands and placed his atop of mines.

" What's wrong, baby ? ", he rubbed circles around my back attempting to calm me down. I couldn't calm down, though.

Hanji watched me, making sure that I wasn't going to get up and snap at Petra. I listened to her instead, I kept my head down low and used my other hand to cover my face. Of course, that didn't work out.

" H-hanji ? Oh my god ! ", I heard her footsteps coming near us as she began to walk towards our table. Hanji had tried her best to ignore Hanji as if she didn't notice her.

That was when Eren realized what was happening. He looked at Petra who was now in front of us. He grabbed my hand for reassurance and rubbed the back of my hand using his thumb.

" Oh my god Hanji ! I've never seen you in a while ", I could tell Hanji was biting her tongue in order for her to not say anything that was in her mind.

" Nice to see you too, Petra ", she managed to choke out. She avoided eye contact with her until her pair of eyes landed on me.

" Hello, Levi ", I froze when she said my name but I was able to compose myself. I didn't make eye contact with her but looked straight ahead of me. I only nodded at her and grabbed ahold of Eren's hand and laced our fingers.

I could feel the sense of hurt in her as she watched us. Eren was able to be calm while he attempts to calm me.

" I've seen that you've found someone else... well, I should get going now, I probably interrupted you guys ", you for sure fucking did.

She walked away and grabbed her drink. I watched from the window as she got inside of her car and drove away. A million thoughts were running through my head right now as I tried to compose what just happened.

" Levi- ", I interrupted Hanji and snapped at her.

" Shut the fuck up ! We need to go ", before her and Eren could say anything, I pulled Eren up and walked towards my car.

" L-Levi, you're hurting me ! ", he pulled his wrist away from me. I didn't realize I gripped in him too hard and his wrist was now red.

I was pissed, yet sad at the same time. We got inside of my car and drove off. We arrived at my house in less than 5 minutes due to the fact that I was speeding.

I got inside of the house first, leaving Eren inside of my car. I ran to my bedroom locking the door behind me as  I walked slowly towards my desk. I opened it up and grabbed the velvet box.

I opened the box and revealed the ring. Tears continued to stream down my face as I picked the ring up. I was pissed at Petra for leaving me, and then popping back into my life out of nowhere.

I threw the ring at a wall followed by the box. I threw it so hard, piece of the diamonds had cracked. I continued to wipe off everything off my desk.

There were few pieces of broken glasses on the floor. My whole bed was a mess, my clothes were all over the place, and here I was sobbing in the corner. There was a knock on my door but I had pretended that I didn't hear it.

" Levi, open up please ", Eren was behind the door. I could tell he was worried about me by the sound of his voice. I didn't reply back due to the fact that I couldn't even speak at all.

I heard the doorknob jiggle a bit as I realized there Eren was using an extra key to my bedroom. Eren opened it up and was shocked. He saw that my whole bedroom was messed up and spotted me.

He quickly ran towards me, dropping to his knees as he wrapped his arms around me. I sobbed even more as I thought about Petra.

" S-she's he-here ", was all I could say. Eren noticed that I was breathing hard and opened his arms out towards me. I climbed into his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck and rest my head there.

" It's okay, everything is alright ", he caressed the back of my head while lightly rocking me back and forth. He rubbed my back in circles and quietly hummed to soothe me.

Eventually, he was able to calm me down. He pulled me away from my neck and made me look into his eyes. He saw the hurt inside of mines as he wiped the remaining tears away from my face. I couldn't speak, and went back to hugging his neck.

" Please don't leave me Eren ", I was scared. I was scared that he was going to leave me like what Petra did. He pulled me closer to him as he whispered in my ear.

" I won't ever leave you, Levi. I promise ", he kissed my cheek.
