Some of this chapter may not be suitable for people who don't feel comfortable reading about drug usage. (It's very light, not that much, trust me)

I did the best I could to portray the usage of drugs. I personally have never used it before so some of my facts about using X could be wrong. If anything in this chapter bothers or offends you, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to fix it :)

Song for this chapter- We are Young by FUN :)

My eyes widened in shock as we pulled up to the luxurious manor. The bottom floor was a collage of pebbles, the colors reflected in the lustrous moonlight. The sturdy timber wood extended onto a second floor, towering over the trees, casting a shadow into the streetlight. But as grand as the manor was, that wasn't the suprising part.

From the windows, I spotted flashing lights, whirring past the glass, an explosion of color radiating from the house. Distant yelling and cheering could be heard from across the open lawn. I slumped back in my seat, trying to blend into the tanned leather coverings.

The door flung open next to me, a rush of cool air, hitting my skin. I could feel Karen's hands attempting to pull me out while I struggled against her. Archer stood there watching, looking bemused.

"Well don't just stand there, HELP ME!" Karen shot at him.

"Nonono, I'm not going. This was a bad idea, take me home" I whined, staring in fear of the rave occuring within the house.

"Alright, come on. Time for you to grow a pair." I felt Archer's warm hands on me, and then the slight flex of his muscles as he effortlessly lifted me out of the car.

"HOLY SHIT DON'T DROP ME" I screeched, as my arms and legs flailed helplessly.

He chuckled and set me down slowly on the ground. I could still feel the heat as my body left his.

"WE are going to that party, and YOU are going to have a good time." Karen commanded.

"Finee." I groaned, as I stumbled into the house, Archer following close behind. I could hear his hot breath behind me, tingling the senses on the back of my neck.

Inside, the house was crazy. Lights bounced off the walls, as the upbeat music blasted through the air. Suddenly, I couldn't feel Archer's breath behind me anymore. I spun around, my eyes searching for Archer and Karen.

"Here. Take this!" A bubbly voice interjected.

I spun around, confused. A hand reached out to me, holding a white pill.

"What is it?" I inquired curiously.

"It's candy for the soul, hehe." She said, dispersing into a fit of giggles.

Candy can't be that bad, can it?  I thought to myself. With a shrug, I downed the white capsule.

I pushed through the crowds of people. Slowly, I could feel my heart rate increasing. Suddenly, pulse was growing louder and louder, as it filled my ears and drowned out my vision. My breath seemed like a fog, appearing before me in a haze. My lungs cried, begging for relief. I grabbed a small cup, and downed it. It was vodka.

The white liquid seared my throat as it entered. The pain seemed to bring me to life. All my senses were more alive than ever, my pulse moving with the beat of the music. The sounds no longer entered one ear and out the other. Music flooded through my body, like electricity pulsing through my veins, jolting me awake.
