ARCHER'S POV
Oh god Damien sees it too. We're so screwed.
I buried my head into my palms, letting out a groan of frustration.
When I looked up, Damien was standing over me, his face looking clearly unhappy.
"You shouldn't have done that." He said grimly, his lips pressed together, making his skin look sickly pale.
"They're not the same person, Damien." I whispered.
"The way she yelled at me last night..I could see it in her eyes." He closed his, letting himself relive the moment in his mind. "You know she likes me, right?"
"Maybe that's something you should let her decide for herself." I observed curtly.
I will not let this happen again.
It's been so long.
With dead eyes, Damiens bore into mine.
"We'll see about that."
He turned around, and marched out of the room.
"You have to forget about her. Amber's not her, you're just gonna end up hurting her like you do to EVERYONE! And I'm not gonna just stand there and watch this time." I yelled after him, my face red with unfamiliar anger.
He turned around, as the guilt crept up on my face when I saw pain and hurt flash across his eyes.
"Look...man, I didn't mean it like that.." I stuttered.
He gave me a look of defeat, and walked away, his footsteps creaking on the carpet.
Amber's POV
I cringed as the steps of the stairs squeaked. Slowly, I made my way down them, aware of my very movements, even conscious of my breathing.
A slight hesitant knock at the door only set me deeper in my ninja mode. I scanned the room for Damien or Archer. Good. Nobody's here. Less of a chance for me to embarass myself today if there aren't any boys around I thought sunnily to myself as I opened the door.
Maybe I should think again.
Kris stood at the door, looking uncertain.
"Uh..Hey," He spoke softly, his confidence growing as his voice projected."Wa-do you wanna go somewhere and talk?"
Say yes, say yes, say yes. NO! no more boys for today! say no! say no! say no!
I opened my mouth to reject him, but the scent of his cologne hit me like a wave, carrying me with it effortlessly. Having already stepped outside, I had no choice but to take this stroll with him.
We dawled around the boardwalk, both feeling awkward so I slowed my pace, admiring the ocean. The waves rolled softly, curling up into a small embrace as it hit sand. The water was transparent, reflecting the gallant, clear blue sky. The cirrus clouds lingered slowly, resembling cute little bunnies.
I was astounded by the alluring landscape. It triggered the memory of a familiar face, with his dashing smile and sweet laugh, making my skin tingle. I quickly pushed this thought aside, turning my attention back to Kris.
Feeling the need to break the silence, I spoke..maybe more like stuttered, as the memories of what happened made me flush.
"So...whadd'ya wanna talk about?"
