There are many ways for lovers to meet. In most love stories, they meet under circumstances that require long periods of waiting. Such as hospital lobbies, grocery lines, waiting for coffee or sitting at a bar, reading a book, or traveling on a bus. Though meeting strangers under those situations sound romantic, most lovers meet from being longtime friends, or they share a common interest or go to the same college or study group. In Felicity Warden and Steven Haze's case, they met on a film production set.
Felicity was a script supervisor and Steven was an extra on the film. Neither knew about the other, until one word from the director casted a spell on both of them. It was love at first sight. Earlier that February day, Felicity was sitting with the director, Tina, lamenting on how impossible it was to find a decent man. Tina, knowing the entire cast and crew, joked around about how she might need Felicity to play along side Steven in a bit scene.
Of course, Felicity laughed at the joke, knowing quite well that whoever the extra was, he would be just as crude, nosey, and dull as all the other males she knew in her life. Though, her expectations were crushed, and she knew she was in danger of falling in love. Felicity had suffered a damaged relationship a couple of months ago where the man of her dreams broke of his engagements to 'run away' with his male partner, whom Felicity knew nothing about.
Such a shock left Ms. Warden in severe depression and she swore to never, ever give her heart away. In her own words to her closest friend, she said, "It was weird, I swore never to love a man, and then Hayden came into my life. He was beautiful and wonderful, and more than I could have ever asked for. And then, just as quickly as he had come into my life, he left and became someone entirely different. And I was back to where I was, only this time, I was even more alone. I don't think I should ever trust another man again. Even if he is kind, I don't think I can go through it with all of my heart."
For awhile, Felicity kept up with the agenda of a happy single woman with a successful career. Though, deep down, she missed the feeling of loving someone and being loved. But she knew the risks, and she wasn't one to risk again, especially if the experience had been painful. She had loved a few men after Hayden, but only as friends. So, when she met Steven, she thought she could control the situation with the limitations of 'being friends', but she had nothing under control.
This is the story of a woman and a man, whose lives they thought they had planned out perfectly, until they met each another...

With her blonde hair pulled up in a tight pony tail and a hand rested under her chin, Felicity watched the actors perform an intense dinner scene. The monitor flickered in front of her, giving her a better chance of catching continuity or dialogue slip-ups. Her pencil hovered over her notebook stuffed with documented information of each scene filmed, every roll used, and any objects that was sure to reappear later.
The yellow lights streamed down on the scene, creating a spooky atmosphere that even made Felicity feel like she was right there in the intensity. Since the production she was on was an independent project produced by several film students, she played several roles apart from script supervisor. Being an extremely detail-oriented person and time-watcher, which earned her the name, "The Walking Clock," Felicity was also the assistant producer, clapper, and assistant director.
"And cut!" the director hollered.
"That's a cut!" Felicity echoed, hitting the stop button on her timer. She wrote down the length of the scene in her column and slipped the headphones off. Looking at her watch, she went over to the director and asked if she could annouce lunch.
The director, who was filling in that day for Tina, was fine-featured with short black hair, and lovely blue eyes -- Felicity couldn't help but fancy him. She tried to be extra helpful in hopes that he would notice her efforts, and even more, noticed her. But she knew that was near impossible and that she should focus on her duties.
