Chapter 8:
It was a few weeks before school ended that my friends and I started discussing a going away party for Mallory. A big one with about half of our grade attending. We wanted to show Mallory how much she meant to all of us and how much we would miss her. We planned big. We would do it in my friend Marissa's huge backyard. We could have it catered and use the fire pit to roast marshmallows. We came up with great ideas to make it special.
We would make a video of memories and photos to play at the party and give to Mallory. It would remind us of all of the times spent together. No matter how many miles apart we were, we would always have those memories with us to look back on. Reminding is of how close we were. We could make a scrapbook to of photos and quotes. We could give her presents that meant something to her, to us, to our friendship. We could play her favorite music, serve her favorite food, and have all of her friends there, whether they went to our school or not.
But my favorite idea of all was with the trees. Marissa had two large trees in her hard with low branches. We would take photos of Mallory with us from any age and hang them from the branches by strings. Memories on strings. They would dangle on tho strings easy
