--------------------------------------------------At five years if age, you really don't understand or see the reality of cruelty or the darkness. Apparently, at my age, I didn't realize the real pain of losing a loved one.

Witnessing others crying and dropping to their knees at the sight of the dead person in the last place to sleep... permanently. At the sight it, I did not react in any way, I just watched with curiosity at others at why they were crying... And then that is when I started shaking the stiff body and shouting, ''Wake up!". As I continuously shook the body in frustration, others cried harder. Hours later, my great-aunt, face swollen from intensified crying and the redness in her face, said, "Vamonos, m'ija, let's go get ready for tomorrow's flight to Barrahona."
I never understood the seriousness of this is, until years later.
