She walked over to us, devilish smile plastered on her face. Once Brooke came over, she handed me these papers. She, then, walked away without any word. I looked at the papers and then at Dani, and back again. “Do you think she is trying to help me or give me clues?", I implied, brows raised. Dani shrugged in response. “Let's just go drop those papers off at your house." I nodded and started walking towards my house.

Once we approached my house, we quickly entered before anyone (Claude, in particular) spotted us. When I opened the door, I saw the mess and it flooded the memories of  the day before. I shuttered at the thoughts going through my head. It was interrupted by the gasp in Dani's voice. “That jerk! He caused all of this? You know what? I will go up to his jerk face and embarrass the mushrooms out of him!", Dani exclaimed, face getting redder and redder by the second. I chuckled in response, amused by the way she made an outburst of something “minor". I head to my room to put the letters and papers on my desk. As I was putting my papers down, I noticed the package that was sent to me. I walked over to my bed and opened it. Looking inside, there was a letter written from my... dead grandma. I furrowed my eyes in confusion while reading it, which said:

Dear Clari,

I wrote this letter to inform you of what is to come in your life before it was the end of time for me. You are just seven right now and you don't fully understand  why this has to be this way, but just know that I'll always love you no matter what condition  struck our lives in the meantime. Specific people will come into your life and terrorize everything you love, and I think you will realize the reality of why I had to write this to you not speak in person. Stay away from the people who do suspicious activities the first time you meet them UNLESS they try to explain their reasoning for all of this. DON'T fall in love quickly, and remember one thing... DON'T TRUST ANYONE.

                Sincerely,

                         Abuelita or Grandma

Once, I finished reading the short, but meaningful letter, I exhaled the breath held back while reading. Tears coming down my face, I threw all my textbooks and papers from Brooke to the floor. I think I knew all along that I shouldn't go on and let go of the past and live the present, but the present is as awful as the past. I wiped away my tears, straightened myself, and walked out, grabbing my bookbag on the way. Heading out my room, I noticed the roses still fresh from Claude and took them. Dani nodded at me once I entered the living room and said, “Ready?" I nodded in response and we both walked out of the house, heading for school next. I guess she didn't notice the flowers or the noise in my room, I'm glad. There will be more commotion to come that will be noticed, and I'll make sure of it.
