Leave me
Fine
I'll wave goodbye
But only with a hard heart
And bitter eyes
I'll say I don't care
But it's so obviously a lie
I recoil at your silence
But my lips mime, "I'm fine"
Leave me
Okay
I'll stay here anyway
Wait for your return
Anger accumulating every day
My bitter heart grows harder
With all the things you won't let me say
Leave me
So be it!
Do whatever you see fit
Because while I stayed for you
Battling your demons
Taking punch after punch and hit after hit
You left me without so much as a "I'm sorry, goodbye"
While clearly I've been encompassed in darkness
It slowly suffocating my insides!
Left me
To die
With a tut of the tongue and a roll of the eye
I was a burden
An annoyance
So you just swept me under the rug to hide
Left me
With few words
Words that cut deep and gave me a lesson to learn
Never trust anyone
When they tell you everything is fine
Because in the end
They'll tell you the opposite
And leave you to die
