Chapter 7: my first day at mission creek high

Hi everyone Thanks for being so patient. I'm soooo sorry. I hope this chapter makes up for it. i've been pretty busy lately with the science fair next week. I was testing to see if adding worms to soil affects the growth of plants and I never got to record my results because I forgot to water them and then my kitten named Mittens snuck into my room and de-potted my plants. Ugh!!!! That kitten gets on my nerves sometimes.

So without further ado: Chapter 7!!!!

I HATED Mr. Davenport!! So when my dad's friend, Doug sent me on a mission to get back his daughter that ran away when she was 8, I couldn't refuse. They then told me she was living with Mr. Davenport.

You see I hate Mr.Davenport because he, Doug, and my father created Davenport industries. He and Doug were close friends. So when Mr. Davenport kicked Doug out of Davenport industries, my father demanded that he let Doug come back. Mr. Davenport refused, so he left the company and met up with Doug refusing to forgive him. I would to if I were dad. So now Doug and my dad created Monroe industries after my dad. His last name is Monroe. I will be going under cover as Dmitri Pierce. So Mr. Davenport won't recognize me. The plan is to make Libby fall in love with me and then get her to come to visit my father and then Bam!! She'll be riding in my dad's helicopter Back home. Every night I will be reporting back to Marcus, her brother and my friend. Well today's my first day at Mission Creek. wish me luck.

(Libby's P.O.V)

(1 month after the davenport's find her)

Today is very exciting. Today is my first day at mission creek high. On the way there Bree asked me, are you excited for your first day? Yeah I replied. the only thing is, you couldn't have come at a more awkward time. She added. How so? I asked. well the prom is coming up next week. Oh. I said, looking down at my feet. The rest of the way there, I was silent. In my own thoughts. Wondering if anyone would ask me. until my thoughts were broken and we entered the school

(Time skip: first period)

As we walked in first period Bree took her seat (since she was the only one in my family in first period with me) and I was standing in the front of the room, everyone staring at me. Then a boy walked in. (A/N: he's the boy on the cover.) He didn't take a seat. He just stood next to me. after 5 minutes of awkward silence, the teacher walked in. Ah, I see our new students have arrived. Everyone give a warm welcome to our two newest students: Miss Libby Davenport and Mr Dmitri Pierce. Welcome. he said and then gestured us to the back of the class in two empty desks. we then sat down and listened to the lesson when I was broke out of my thoughts about the lesson when Dmitri passed me a note. The note said: You're very pretty. I felt my cheeks turn red.

No boy has ever called me pretty. Well not a boy who isn't related to me. He then handed me another note. this one said: Do you want to hang out at lunch? I turned the note over and wrote yes. I handed the note back to him and I saw a smile appear on his face.

(Time skip: lunch the next day)

Dmitri you're to funny. He just told a funny joke. I found out that Dmitri has the exact same schedule as me so got to spend the whole day together. We spent the entire day together chatting and we were now like best friends. When we sat down we started talking about the project in history that we need to work on and I was talking about doing a project were we compare life during the revolutionary war to life today when he said: Listen Libby, do you have a date to the prom? I looked at him shocked.

No, why? I asked. Because. he let out a deep sigh. I know we've only known each other for 2 days but in those two days I developed a big crush on you and... what i'm trying to ask is Libby, will you go to prom with me? I couldn't believe it. Dmitri just asked me to prom. I sat there for a minute before answering. Yes. I said. i'll go to prom with you. He was so excited. he engulfed me in a huge hug. Thank you. He said. I had one thing on my mind for the rest of the day. How would I tell Bree without her going crazy? I sighed, I guess i'm just going to have to find out for myself. Oh boy.
