Cfapter 8: Prom

Hi everyone. Here's chapter 8. And the dress that Libby wears to prom is on the new cover. hope you like it. so here is the long awaited chapter 8. (Also I can't figure out how to upload photos on my page so I will try my best to describe Bree's dress)

(Libby's P.O.V)

I thought the bell would never ring. By the time the bell did ring I was all giddy inside. I was mainly excited to get home to tell Bree I was going to prom. I have never have a boy like me. it's been just me and Maddie so i've been busy trying to survive to be looking for love. But now I have the Davenports to help me take care of myself. So it's been a new territory for me.

When I got home I saw Bree sitting on the couch talking on the phone with someone. I used my bionic hearing to hear what was going on. I overheard the last part. Aww, Owen of course i'll go to the prom with you. Well Libby just got home i'll have to talk to you later bye. and with that she hung up the phone.

I sat down next to her. Soo.... I asked her. I see Bree is going to prom. Yes. She answered. Owen just asked me. So what about you? she asked. I saw you in the lunch room talking to Dmitri. What happened? Because I swear when you left the lunch room you looked 10x happier. I blushed. Dmitri asked me. Bree let out a squeal. Let's go shopping on Friday and we can get each other ready on Saturday. Oh better yet we can double date. What do you say? Okay fine I said. Gee. She squealed. this is going to be so much fun.

(Time skip)

Come on! I yelled to Bree through the changing room. She's having me try on so many dresses i would be surprised there were any more dresses left in the store. And i've tried on over 10 dresses. I can't believe she doesn't like any of the other ones. Oh come on. She yelled through the doors. just try one more. I sighed I knew there was no arguing with Bree.

I came out wearing a pink dress with fake jewels all over the top. The skirt went about a little past my knees. The skirt was very poofy. Wow. She exclaimed. That is defiantly your dress she said. Now for mine. About half an hour later Bree chose her dress. it was the same length as mine. But it was blue. it was sleeveless just like mine. it also had lots of frills. instead of a skirt it had a Caribbean blue underskirt and over it was frills in blue and it became a lighter and lighter blue until it turned white with a pretty bow just below the waist. it was beautiful. We walked up to the clerk and paid. $45.60 is your total. We gave her the money and then left.

(2 hours and a 20 minute car ride later)

We walked in the door carrying loads and loads of shopping bags. We put the bags down on the couch and then sat down. We watched Frozen with the Davenport's for family movie night, then went to bed.

(The next day)

I was soooooooooo excited and nervous at the same time. Today was the prom. I woke up and ate breakfast. Then me and Bree spent the day practicing our dancing for prom. Then at about 3:00 we had dinner (because the prom was at 5:00 and by the time we were done getting ready it will almost be time to leave so we won't have time for dinner.) Then we went downstairs to get ready.

(Time skip 4:55)

We came upstairs wearing our prom dresses. My hair was down and in waves. I was wearing a pretty necklace that was a bunch of triangle charms. (A/N I'm bad at descriptions) I also had on the dress I got yesterday. Completed with high heels that were covered in fake diamonds. I had on some eyeliner and a little blush. I also had a light lipstick color. Bree also looked pretty.

She had her hair down and in waves like me. She was wearing her dress with Caribbean blue flats. She had a pretty necklace made of diamonds with the gems all around the necklace with a big one in the shape of a tear drop dangling from the center of the necklace. With matching earrings. She had on the same make up as me. We sat down on the couch for 10 minutes when our dates showed up. Wow is all Dmitri said when he saw me. You look beautiful. He exclaimed as he was walking us to the car. I climbed in the passenger seat and Bree and Owen climbed in the back seat.

(10 minutes later at prom)

(A/N: sorry I'm only in middle school so I don't know what happens at prom besides in t.v shows and movies so please don't hate me for writing a terrible description of the prom, just pretend it looks like it did in Leo's jam)

When we got into the gym, it looked pretty. there were balloons everywhere and also ribbons. it was pretty. Owen and Bree went to go dance, while me and Dmitri got some punch and mingled.

(A little while later)

A little while later we decided to dance it was a slow song called a thousand years by Christina Peri. I blushed a little by the song title.

We started to dance when Dmitri started talking. Libby? He said. Yeah I replied. Do you love me as much as I love you? he asked. I- Dmitri I- He cut me off. Because if you do I want to ask you to be my Girlfriend. He continued. Y- Yes! i'll be your girlfriend. Oh! Really, thanks Libby you won't regret this. He said. we then kept swaying as the music played.

I love for a thousand years, i'll love you for a thousand more. the music went. And as the song ended he leaned in and kissed me and I swear I felt sparks fly.

I've been busy lately and also I lost a portion of the chapter so I had to fix that. well chapter 9 will be up very, very soon and I don't wanna spoil it for you but there will be ACTION. can't wait for you to see it.
