Chapter 21: Goodbye

I I gulped as I turned the corner. The street sign reading: park avenue. This was it. This was goodbye....forever.

"Well, well, look who it is, Miss Libby Abigail Davenport." I heard someone snicker.

I turned around and found myself face to face with Martha.

"Why hello Martha, nice to see you again." I sneered.

"Martha." Dmitri warned.

She glared at me as she grabbed Valerie.

"Ready to go?" Dmitri asked.

I nodded sadly.

He grinned. "Great, let's go."

Martha was about to grab my hand when I stepped back.

"What are you doing, we had a deal!" Dmitri yelled.

I want you to let Valerie go.

He glared at me until he finally replied "ugh, fine." He snapped his fingers at Martha and she let Valerie go.

Valerie ran and gave me a big hug as her tears flowed down her face like a river.

"Valerie." I said, my voice cracking. "Listen to me very carefully, go to this address. Tell them what happened. Tell them thank you for being my family. Stay with them and learn how to control your bionics. Live your life, go to school, fall in love, and never forget about me."
I gave her a piece of paper with the Davenport's address on it.

"No!" She sobbed. "I'm not going anywhere without you."

"Do you trust me?" I asked her.

She nodded.

"Then trust this is for the best, and even though I will never see you again, I will never leave you. Because I will always be with you, in your heart."

She nodded.

"Goodbye, Valerie." I sobbed.

"Goodbye, Libby." She whimpered.

And with that, she ran off into the night.

"Stay safe." I muttered.

*the next morning*

(Bree's P.O.V)

"Good morning Libby, do you wanna go to the mall today?" I asked as I got out of my capsule.

But there was no reply.

"Libby?" I asked.

I gasped. Libby was gone. In her capsule was a note.

Dear everyone,

I'm sorry I left. I left because Dmitri threatened to kill Valerie if I didn't go back. He has been threatening me for months and he threatened to hurt Valerie if I ever told you. Please don't call the cops. Please know I'm very thankful for you taking me in. And even though I'll never see you guys again please know that there will forever be a piece of me that is still with you. Goodbye forever,

Hi everyone. So that's it. The Youngest Davenport is officially finished! Thank you to everyone that commented and supported this story. So last night I posted that the youngest Davenport is over for good, but I changed my mind. The sequel will be made, but after that, that's it.
