Chapter 3: Fire And Ice

Leo found Killer Frost setting up ice walls on 3 paths out of the 4 that crossed on the intersection. She didn't seem to mind that people and cars were being caught in the crossfire. This made Leo mad. He hovered down towards the ground while yelling "Hey, Snow Cone!" Killer Frost turned around, and Leo thought She's beautiful, but I can't get a crush on her now, she's hurting innocent people and I gotta stop her! "Well, well, well." Killer Frost said, "Now who are you?" Her voice sounded like she was speaking into a microphone, except both the voice and microphone were in perfect harmony, and there was no echo. Leo replied "Let's just say I'm The Flash's new friend." Killer Frost smiled a little at the right side of her mouth and said "Oh, interesting. So, what can you do?" Leo replied "The opposite of what you do." Killer Frost said "You mean be good?" and then she laughed. Leo just waited, and when she stopped laughing and looked at him again, he chuckled and shook his head, saying "No, no, no. See, Elsa, while you bring ice to a fight..." then, he concentrated and said "I bring the fire!" and his hands burst into flames. Killer Frost said "Well, this is a played-out theme, don't you think?" Leo replied "Well, you know what they say: you can't beat a classic." Killer Frost laughed a little and sarcastically said "Be careful, don't burn my hair or clothes." Leo smirked and said "Whatever you say, Frosty." Killer Frost said "Please, I prefer Killer Frost." Leo replied "OK, then. Killer Frost it is." Killer Frost asked "So, what should I call you?" Leo thought about it, and then he said "Inferno." "Well, Inferno," Killer Frost said, "think you can handle a little frostbite?" Leo snorted. "Please. I've fought the goddess of snow. I think I can handle you." he said. Killer Frost smiled on both sides of her mouth and threw her head to one side a little, then she said "Can the goddess of snow do this?" and she shot icicles at Leo. Leo quickly countered with fireballs he threw from his hands. They melted the icicles easily. Killer Frost tried it again, but this time, the icicles were bigger and sharper. Leo threw fireballs at the icicles again, and the fireballs easily melted the icicles once more. He took a few steps towards Killer Frost, and said "Is that all? This is a cakewalk!" Killer Frost just smiled again and said "Don't get too cocky." suddenly firing full-on icy blasts at Leo. Leo countered with his own fiery blasts, and both of them struggled to beat each other. Killer Frost said "You can't win, just give up already." Leo replied "Don't you know science? I thought you were a doctor. And you know what I learned in science? Fire melts ice!" and he blasted Killer Frost, but not too much- Cisco had requested for Leo not to hurt Killer Frost, or at least not hurt her badly. And he had also told Leo to definitely not kill her. Leo had agreed to this, and so he blasted Killer Frost, but not too badly, so she wouldn't get hurt. Just because she's attractive doesn't mean I have a choice. She's hurting innocent people, and I have to stop her before she kills someone, Leo thought. He and Killer Frost fought for a while, and every time she shot an icicle at him, he countered with a fireball. Leo hoped that Barry and Wally were at least surviving against Savitar. Then, Leo noticed Killer Frost had stopped attacking, and he wondered why. Suddenly, she frowned, then smiled and winked at him, then said "See you later." and turned around, making an ice pathway and using it to rise over the ice walls, gliding away on it. Leo said "Oh no, you don't!" and used his new flying power to blast off in pursuit. It was a hard chase, mostly due to the fact that Killer Frost kept winding around between buildings, through alleys, and sometimes she just spiraled upwards, causing Leo more than a few headaches. Along the way, he noticed Barry and Wally fighting Savitar. Earlier, Barry had mentioned something about memories when talking to Savitar. What had that been about? Leo shook his head and put that thought away for later. He trailed Killer Frost as she attempted to lose him, but to no avail- he was keeping up just fine. Killer Frost didn't seem bothered by this, however, because at one point she looked back and saw him keeping up with her, and she simply just blew a kiss at him. Leo blushed a little, but tried to focus on catching her without hurting her instead. Eventually, she stopped and went towards the ground, stepping off of the ice path casually as if ice-surfing(?) through the air was something she did every day. Leo also landed, and as he was going to land Killer Frost turned around and looked at him as if she was seeing him at a get-together they had both been invited to. As Leo neared the ground, Killer Frost said "Well, look at that. You kept up. Did you have a nice flight?" Leo landed on the ground and walked forward a few steps, then said "I normally fly on a metal dragon or a giant flying ancient Greek trireme but, yeah, I had a pretty good flight." He walked forward a few more steps and then spread his arms, saying "You can't outrun me, you can't outgun me, and now we're back where we began. Take a hint, Snow Cone. I win." Killer Frost slowly shook a finger back and forth, smiling, her eyes playful, as if this was all just some twisted game. "Don't be so quick to judge, Flame Brain. If you ask me, we're just getting started."
