Barry Allen
Barry admired the architecture of the buildings and towers in New York. The views and the sights were wonderful, extravagant and Barry saw them for what they were. Beautiful.A lot of the buildings reminded him of Central City, the place where he had lost so much but had been given things in return. He'd lost his mother to a crazy time traveling speedster and his father had been accused of her murder and thrown in Iron Heights. He'd gotten adopted by Joe West which was the best thing to ever have happened to him. Then eleven years later he'd been struck by dark matter enhanced lightning and was in a coma for almost a year, only to wake up and find out that he wasn't even normal anymore.
Finding out he had superspeed and could basically run a two miles in three seconds or less was the best thing he ever thought would happen. Becoming the city's hero was the best too, helping the people who made that city shine bright the way it did...made up for what he had lost. He couldn't save his mother but he could make sure what happened to him, didn't happen to anyone else.
Barry was sure he had left Central City in good hands remembering the promise Harry had made and the promise Wally swore to keep. With the help of Oliver and his team and Caitlyn and Cisco, Wally would become the new Flash.
Even though Barry promised to visit, he probably wouldn't for a while. Too many bad memories and way too many people that wanted to kill him as the Flash or as Barry Allen, the CSI that solved the crime and got them thrown behind bars. Mick Rory was one of them, the fire arsonist.
Barry was walking down the street at the moment with his best friend from college, Blaine Anderson. He had moved to NYC years ago and had helped Barry get settled into his house. They were once again roomates and to be completely honest...they were more likely to get into trouble together than apart.
"So how does Pandemonium sound?" Blaine wondered out loud, with a hint of mischief in his voice.
Barry raised an eyebrow at Blaine and said, "Pandemonium? Dude that sounds like trouble in itself."
Blaine shook his head chuckling. "We're out here to celebrate your move to New York Barry! We need a little pandemonium!"
Barry rolled his eyes at his friend's word play and shook his head, sighing. He made a face that said 'yeah okay' and shrugged. "Fine. As long as it's not anything too crazy then sure."
Blaine squealed in excitement and patted Barry on the shoulder. "You won't regret this Barry!"
Barry nodded and gave a small smile watching as Blaine waved down a cab and thought, This is going to be a long night.
Alec Lightwood
Alec hated nightclubs with a passion. He always had but he had no idea why. Alec remembered when Jace, Isabelle and himself had encountered Clary Fairchild here and now it seems that they were back at the starting line, on another mission to stop a demon cult from growing.Alec had never really liked Clary but he had grown to love her as a sister and he was glad he did. She wasn't as bad as he had once thought. Clary had never once tried to hurt them or betray them to Valentine. She was introduced to this world by mistake but honestly...it was the best mistake that happened to anyone.
Alec's thoughts were interrupted as Jace tapped his shoulder. Alec glanced over at him. "What?"
Jace tipped his head in the direction of the bar counter and said, "Does that guy look weird to you?"
Alec followed his gaze and saw a guy maybe younger than he was by a year or so with an adorably cute baby face, pearly white smile and light brown/green eyes. His hair was a light brown too, swept up into a quiff. He was laughing and drinking with someone who had dark hair and was basically the complete opposite of the guy Jace was speaking about.
Alec realised that he was staring too much and shrugged, moving his eyes to the middle of the dance floor. "Depends on what kind of weird you're talking about."
Jace sighed impatiently. "I mean...have you ever seen him here before? He's gotta be new here right or he's the demon we're looking for."
"Jace you're so paranoid sometimes it's not even funny." Izzy says strolling over to us. "He just moved here to NYC."
Alec rolled his eyes. "And how would you know that Izzy?"
Isabelle smirked. "I overheard them talking."
"Meaning you eavesdropped." Clary clarified, marching up over to us, her green eyes narrowed at her.
Isabelle said nothing but Alec turned his attention back to the guy sitting at the bar with his friend. They were talking and there was something about this guy that made him curious. It drew him in amd Alec had to force himself to stop staring and watching him.
God this was going to be a long night, Alec thought.
A/N: I really hope this first chapter was good and didn't seem rushed. I decided to try writing a fanfiction about something that's not really out there yet and see what kind of reaction I'd get.
I hope this was a good start to the book and I'll see you guys in the next chapter!😁
