Barry Allen
Barry opened his eyes and found himself staring up at a creamy white ceiling. He wasn't sure where he was but he heard people whispering and it reminded him so much of when he woke up from his coma about a year ago.

Barry sat up and the first thing--well person he saw, was Alec Lightwood. The boy with the bow and arrows, the guy who helped him even though he didn't know him, and the guy Barry thought was hot. The second thing he saw was that he was in a nice looking room that had the air of a hotel suite. And lastly he saw Blaine, Jace, Isabelle and Clary standing around watching him.

"How do you feel?" Alec demanded.

Barry stared at him, trying to form words to speak but he couldn't say anything. Without stuttering at least. "I-I uh, I-I don't....I'm fine." Barry finally said.

Jace crossed his arms and smirked but Barry didn't pay him any attention. He climbed out of the bed and stood up, not surprised when the room didn't spin. Of course with his speed came speedy healing.

"Where am I?" Barry asked.

"Somewhere safe." Clary says assuring him.

"Why were you in a coma for nine months?" Alec demanded, his eyes showing curiosity.

Barry glared at Blaine who just shrugged and said, "It sort of slipped out when I was panicking over your unconscious body."

Barry shook his head and turned back to Alec. "Almost a year and a half ago, there was an accident with this particle accelerator. It was storming and I had just gotten back from Starling City. I was a CSI back in my hometown so I went to my lab to put in some last minute work and tuned in to live coverage of the opening of the particle accelerator. The accelerator overheated and things went sideways." Barry sighed before continuing.

"The particle accelerator exploded and released some kind of dark matter into the storm above. I went to close the ceiling windows when lightning came out of nowhere and broke the glass. It hit me and I don't know what happened after except that I must have blacked out....but I ended up in a coma for nine months."

Alec stared at Barry closely and he began to feel extremely uncomfortable under his stare. Barry looked away from Alec and the others waiting for someone to say something.

"That must've been hard for you huh?" Isabelle says to break the silence.

Barry nodded. "You have no idea."

Alec stared at Barry for a few minutes before he said anything. "Well I guess we should tell you who we are and what this place is."

Alec Lightwood
"We're what you would call Shadowhunters and the thing that attacked you was a vampire." Alec told Barry.

Blaine nodded and Barry frowned. "What exactly are Shadowhunters?"

"We are a cross between mundanes and angels. Angel blood is what makes us able to do what we can do and what we are." Isabelle explained.

"And what about the tattoos?" Blaine asked.

"They're called runes." Jace added. "They give us power, abilities to do what needs to be done."

Alec pointed to one on his neck. "This is a rune of sight. It allows me to see in the dark, better than the human eye." He pointed to on his hand. "And this is the rune marking Jace and I as parabatai. Meaning we can feel each others pain. If one of us dies...a part of the other dies as well. In order for a parabatai bond to work, you need an unbreakable friendship first."

Alec was surprised with how well Barry and Blaine were taking this and it made him wonder...did they somehow already know about stuff like this?

Barry ran his fingers through his hair. "And the guy who attacked me was a vampire?"

Clary nodded. "Yes."

Barry muttered something under his breath that made Blaine chuckle and he said, "Well...can I go home now? I have to work in the morning and I don't want to be late. First day and all."

Alec nodded. "Yeah. Izzy?"

"On it." Isabelle walked over to Barry and Blaine and said, "Follow me."
