Ty definitely kicked some ass during the game. He'd hit 3 home runs, and wracked up 8 RBIs. He wasn't the only one on their game tonight, as the Mets sailed over the Cubs 17-0.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see him after the game because they were flying out to Arizona for a 4 game series against them. I'd talked to him before he took off on the phone, though, and told him how sexy he was playing ball and how I wished I'd been able to spend some time with him. We'd both groaned because it was going to be another 8 days before he was back in New York.

It took us a while to get out the traffic around Wrigley field and I had noticed Michael growing more fidgety the closer we got to the house. I laid a hand on his shoulder and asked him what was wrong.

"Jenna's back," he said, no explanation needed. Not on my end, at least. I didn't know what Dad knew, but I knew it wasn't my place to say anything, either.

He was shaking in his boots by the time Dad pulled in the driveway.

I offered him a sympathetic but reassuring smile before I entered the house. I didn't see Jenna anywhere, so I went up to my room to shower, sweaty from sitting out in the heat.

As I was towel-drying my hair, feeling refreshed, my door bursts open, hitting the wall with a loud thud.

"You bitch! I cannot believe you!" Jenna's voice rang out. I rolled my eyes and turned to her. She was fuming, face red, and if she were in a cartoon, there'd be smoke coming out of her ears. "You have no right to talk to my fiance the way you did."

"What are you talking about?" I asked nonchalantly. And if it were possible, she got infinitely more frustrated with me. But I've fully given up on her after what she did back in March.

"Talking about our personal life together, telling him that I deserve better."

"I was just speaking my mind, the way you always do about me. I decided to finally stand up against you."

"He dumped me, Kaylee!" she screamed.

I should've felt sorry for her, but I couldn't. "I really got to know Michael this week while you were gone. When you should've been here. With him, instead of running off and leaving him with YOUR family, Jenna. And I saw just how much he's had to give up to be with you. And you'd see how much it hurts him if you really looked at him. I hardly know him and I was able to pick up on his hurt after having a short conversation with him. You were supposed to be back, what, Sunday night? It's Wednesday night, Jenna, and you're just now coming home."

"He was okay with it," she retorted.

"No. He wasn't. If you'd bothered picking up the phone instead of texting him to push it off then you would've known he wasn't okay with it. You invited him to come home with you and then you left him. Why didn't you just come yourself?"

"I didn't know this was going to happen!" she shrieked.

"Well, Jenna, if you weren't so wrapped up in yourself and thought about someone else, for once, you'd have told them no, that you'd brought your boyfriend home and wanted to spend the time with him and your family. But you don't. You want what you want and no one else matters. That's how it has always been, Jenna."

"You brought your boyfriend home and instead, spent the time with MY FIANCE!"

"That's where you're wrong. I didn't bring Ty home. He's here for his job. And I came home to see him play. He'd have been in Chicago whether I was or not. And yeah, I spent time with your fiance and Dad because you weren't here to do it. I felt bad that he was going to be sitting around waiting for your ass to decide to come home so I invited him along. Where's the harm in that?"
