24 Giving Up

Setting : Bumble residence ; office

"I found her in the old garden by the church." Mitchell confessed to his uncle who kept his eyes on his daughter, though seemed to refuse to meet his glare.

"On the Kiing's day of prayer! Oh! Bianca what were you thinking. One of those savages could have touched you or worse!" Lady Bumble gasped at what her daughter had done. 

"I wasn't thinking mother." Bee replied emotionless.

"Was she alone? Was Dylan with her or was she with out a companion?" Mitchell thought hard, was he willing to let all the secrets out. 

"No companion Uncle." 

"Oh Bianca! I, I. I am off to my quarters, this is too much for my old soul." Lady Bumble left her husbands work space immediately.  She may be 41 but the stress of today was taking a huge toll on her. 

"You may leave now nephew, thank you for bringing your cousin home safe." 

"Your welcome uncle." Mitchell quickly left the room leaving just his uncle and cousin alone. 

"Bianca"

"Yes father?"

"What sis this?" He asked holding a piece of paper.

"A note father."

"This is a note that you wrote, correct?" 

"Yes father." 

"Bianca you say you don't want to marry County Jordan in this note. Is that true?" Her fathers face turning red as he tried to remain calm. 

"I don't wish to-"

"You don't wish! You don't wish! I don't wish to deal with those insufferable Kiings, I don't wish to listen to that no good Prince and I don't wish to have a daughter who feels that she can do what ever she wants!" He yelled scaring his daughter. 

"You will marry him, I don't care if 'you don't wish too'. Your lucky I don't marry you to a bum in the streets. The wedding is scheduled for 3 months from now, be grateful your not at the alter today. Do I make myself clear?" 

"Yes father." 

"You will be a happy bride for County Jordan as he is a happy groom. Do you understand me daughter?" 

"Yes father." 

"You are no longer to leave this household unless it is with Jordan, me or your cousin. Got it?" 

"Yes father."
