Chapter Two

(Harley)

When I get to school I jump out and run over to the nearest tree, and punch a hole through the side. I get so mad after a summer with my parents. They always get on my nerves about going out, and finding my mate that I just need to get away, and punch something. This summer was the worst of all the summers.

"Looks like you need to calm down Harley." Said Brian, my second in command.

"Sorry I just had to punch something, or I'd lose it in school. You know how bad my parents get on my nerves about finding my mate well they just over did it this time." I leaned on the tree that I just hit and slide to the ground.

"What did they do this time?" He asked while sitting next to me.

"They took me to see a physic vampire to see if they could tell me where, and who my mate is." I punch the hard ground and put a dent in it about the size of my foot.

"Hey man lets go inside and get ready for the pack run tonight. That will help calm you down."

"Yeah let's go. That will distract me from my parents." We got up and headed for the packs spot in the halls. When we get there Julia, Brian's mate, runs up to him and kisses him on the mouth.

"Get a room!" yells Taylor in the safety of Mike's arms. Brian justs rolls his eyes and keeps kissing her.

"Hey we all have to deal with you and Mike so don't bother other people Tay." said Hope, closing her locker.

"Alright girls stop fighting okay. We need to talk about the run." I say then I smelled them. I still and growl with my pack doing the same. Brian and Julia separate and go on either side of me. The leeches were coming down the hall and I was still fuming over my parents, so I decide to take the rest of my anger out on them.

"Well look who's coming down the hall, the king leech and his guards." I said as Jorden was in my sights. He's the prince vampire and we do not get along.

"Well look what the head masters let in again, the mutts or should I say charity cases."

"Watch what you say vampire unless you're going to fight me yourself and not cower behind your guards." I growled. My pack followed suit and got in ready stances.

"I don't need any protection from a low life like you mutt." he started walking away but that couldn't get him out of this that easily. Not when I was already at the over flow point in my anger. I shifted into my wolf and attacked with pack in pursuit.

We fought for almost fifteen minutes before I got my jaw locked on his arm with him howling in pain. He threw me off a minute later and just when I was about to lunge again I heard the window above us open and then a girl screaming.

I looked up and saw the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She has the most darkest brown hair and grey eyes that I have ever seen. She looks like a warrior in her wrinkled camouflage pants and black shirt. Our eyes lock for a very intense moment. My wolf howls in joy.

'My mate! My mate!'

Oh wow I finally met her and she goes to the school! I hear Julia mumble something though the mind link.

"Should have gone to my room to check on her."

"You knew about her, and didn't tell me Julia?" I asked. She didn't get to answer because the head master and and mistress came to break up the fighting, or what was left anyways, but when they see the girl they run to her room.

I start after them to try and see my mate closer and Julia is right at my heels.

"I know where they're going. They're headed for my room because she's my new room mate." After that I run at full speed.

They all look up at me and I spot a wolf that is staring at me intensely. His coat is a light brown or was it a very dirty blond color and he had the most gorgeous blue eyes. They weren't a dark blue but darker than sky blue. I feel a tugging at my heart and I want to run down to the safety of his presence.

As we break our stare my parents arrive to sort out the fighting but soon run off to something and everyone follows suit, so I guess to me. I plop down on my bed and wait for them to knock. I can't get his face out of my head and I just don't know what to do.

When I finally hear a knock at my door five minutes later I freeze. What's going to happen? Is that wolf out there? I go open the door a crack and see my parents there.

"Umm mom, dad can we talk alone?"

"Sure honey. Anyone who is still in this hall when we turn around in a minute will get a detention." Yelled my mom. Everyone runs off to there rooms but one girl and boy stays.

"Brian and Julia you need to leave." Said my father. Brian hugs Julia and turns towards his room while she stays.

"This is my room to and she is my room mate so I should know every thing to help her adjust Head Master Night." She crossed her arms and my father waved her in.When we all got settled in the room I feel the adrenalin leave my body and feel tired.My room mate was was the first to speak.

"So is there anything I need to know that I can help her adjust with or is she just a mundane." she had a slight British accent to her voice. She wore a jean vest, forest green shirt, black shorts, and navy converse. She has her hair in a pony tail that is almost in the middle of her head.

"Yes there are some things you need to know Julia. Booshida isn't like other wolves. She actually doesn't have the human gene." She just laughs at my parents.

"You really don't have a clue do you? She still has human genes in her but the wolf and bat genes are more prominent." We just stare at her. "The reason I know this is because I can sense the type of genes someone has and she has all three like Harley."

"What??" says both my parents.

"Who's Harley?"

"He's my Alpha, and yours because we're the only pack in the school. Now to answer your unasked question. Harley's dad is a pure wolf blood and his mom is three fourths vampire. he has the three genes but not as equal as hers."

They talk for a few moments then my parents leave to go work on papers and keep the two groups from killing each other. Me and Julia stare at each other until I can't stand the silence any more.

"So your a werewolf huh?"

"Yeah and just to let you know I'm not some stuck up popular girl like some in our pack. I'm actually really a geek. I'm also the second in commands mate. His name is Brian. Enough about me what about you?"

"Umm... there really isn't anything interesting about me. I sing sometimes and like to draw and paint. Love archery and dogs but never had one. Love love love meat and absolutely despise vegetables except carrots but really there is nothing about me that is interesting."

"Well that is so not true because I know that the Alpha would love to get to know you and the whole pack too. By the way tonight is a pack run where we all gather and talk before school starts and we're all to busy to do so. If you want you can go to sleep, and I'll wake you up when it's time."

"Yeah that's okay."
