Supernatural Love (On Hold)

Chapter One

As I fall asleep, the dream starts, almost immediately after I close my eyes.

I hear to two beings before I see them. I first see the wolf, then the bat in his mouth struggling to break free. I roll my eyes. They have been fighting ever since I could remember. I start to feel a pain in my stomach, and fall to the ground. The wolf and the bat stop fighting and run for a cut in the wall. The pain intensifies and the cut in the wall takes the shape of a door. I scream from the pain and I don't know why but the door vanishes and they go to sleep but the pain is still there.

I launch up into a sitting position, scaring my mom. She grabs me by my shoulders, and holds me back down on the bed. I wiggle and try to break free but eventually I settle down and she sits on the bed with me in her arms.

"I think it's time we called your real parents to get you." she said. Last week, when my nightmares started getting worse, she told me that I was given to her to be protected and when I got horrible nightmares that kept getting worse she was to call them or on my 18th birthday.

"I don't want to leave you and go live with strangers mom." I said with a sob.

"I know sweetie but your time has come where I can't protect you anymore. Only your real parents." We sit there for awhile, hugging before I fall asleep again. She puts me under the covers again and heads down stairs to call them. Next time I wake up, she's shaking my shoulder.

"Wake up honey. I need to tell you something." I sit up and she starts pacing in my bedroom. "Look don't get mad but you have to leave tomorrow to live with your parents. You have to pack today and leave for Rapid City tomorrow."

"What why? I don't even have time to let this sink in!"

"I know honey but you got to go. They will explain everything to you there on why you have to leave, but I will help you understand their world."

"What do you mean by 'understand their world'?" She stops pacing and squeezes my shoulders.

"You do not live in the world you think you do. Get dressed and I tell you down stairs." She leaves the room and I throw a pillow at the door. 'I can't leave! She is all I have and ever known!' Reluctantly I get dressed and headed down stairs. Mom has made mash potato pancakes with bacon so I know what she has to say is going to make me freak, or be pissed off.

"Here sit and I'll begin at the beginning." I sit down and start eating. "Your mother and father come from a world that deals with a huge rivalry in the mythical world. A rivalry between vampires and werewolves. Now before you say anything, they are real. Your mother is half vampire and half human while your father is half human and half werewolf. They met along time ago and tried to heal the riff between the two, but they weren't high enough in rank to do much. Yes your father was the alphas son but in a low ranking pack. Your mother was the niece of the King and Queen vampires but alas they bore no children yet so she was still not sure if she was to rule.

They met in the woods, and instantly fell in love and soon after you were born, but you were born differently. You were born a half vampire and half werewolf you did not receive the trait for the human side of either half breed. They opened an academy to keep you safe. You are very powerful, and many people wanted power to rule over the other so they blocked your powers for a certain time. I don't even know when they will be unblocked, but I do know this. You are the most loving, strongest, helpful girl I have ever known." I stopped eating and stared at her.

"What, how is that possible?"

The next day I have my bags packed and I'm hugging 'Mom' goodbye, and then heading for the airport. I have on a camouflage bandanna, black shirt, camo cargo pants, and grey sneakers. After the flight I meet one of my parents teachers from the academy. They drive while I take a short nap. When we get there there is a small group of people waiting to greet me and at the top are my real parents. I slowly walk towards them, they greet me with big smiles on their faces.

"Hello Booshida I'm Derek your father and this is Rose, your mother." He shakes my hans and she gives me a hug. They lead me inside, towards my room on the right side of the academy. She looks like me except she has blonde hair and blue eyes while my father looks nothing like me only we share his brown hair, and grey eyes. We reach my room and have an weird talk.

"This is your room that you will be sharing with someone, but she won't be here until tomorrow so you will have some time to adjust." Said Rose, opening the door. "Do you have any questions you would like to ask us?"

"Yeah, it's something that Sherri told me yesterday, and I want to hear it from you." I start messing with my hands. Mom gives my father a questionable look but doesn't say anything. "Is this a school for werewolves and vampires?"

"Yes honey. This school protects them." My father sighed. "She probably mentioned that we are like half bloods too, didn't she?"

"Yes she did and since I know that werewolves and vampires are real - still can't believe it - I believe you guys." After saying that out loud I get the full effect of the last two days. I plop down on the bed and try to comprehend everything I just said. Mom sits next to me and I feel a sting on my arm.

"Get some rest now and tomorrow you can explore the school." I started getting sleepy and they laid me on my back.

I wake up the next day in the same clothes from yesterday from a dreamless sleep but quickly feel all the emotions from the past two days rush back. I shoot up off the bed then pace the room in terror.

"I'm I going nuts or is this actually happening?"

'Oh it's real miss.' Said a voice. I looked around the room but couldn't find where it came from. 'Why are you looking around the room? I'm your subconscious.'

"How are you talking to me?"

'Quite easily really but you would just blank me out if I tried to tell you.'

"But why now if all the years?"

'Probably because your wolf is waking up. Your two selves have been fighting each other for a while but they finally merged so your powers are fighting the pause your parents put on them.'

"What are you talking about two selves?"

'Wow you really didn't listen to Sherri did you! she told you that you are a half blood but instead of half human and a werewolf or vampire you're a half blood with werewolf and vampire blood so your vampire half and your werewolf half have been fighting each other to see which side will get you but they finally merged into one being.'

"The dream." I murmured.

'Yes the dream was telling you to be prepared for the next full moon which is right after your birthday.' I take everything in and try to process this information when I hear a noise outside my window. When I looked out to see what it was, and I screamed at the sight.
