Ethan's pov
I frantically woke up, at home. That was a dream. But why am I in bed? I remember falling asleep in the hospital.
I picked up my phone and dialed Grayson's number
"Gray?"
"How are you?" He answered
"I'm fine but, why am I in my bed"
"Oh, uh"
"Grayson. I should be with my girlfriend right now"
"I'm sorry but you stayed there like 3 days. The nurses said that you needed to get home and get some sleep"
"Okay and now I'm awake, can I go back and see her then?"
"Well yeah obviously"
"Grayson, I need my CAR"
"But-I can't leave her, I'm sorry"
"You didn't even find her so why do you get to spend more time with her?"
"More time? You've been here 3 days Ethan"
"I don't care we already discussed that I don't want you near her"
"Yeah we discussed that when she was alive Ethan, I can't just leave her like this"
"Why not? She's my girlfriend go find one yourself"
"Because I love her okay?"
"...what?"
He hung up on me, I gritted my teeth, I'm gonna fucking kill him.
Grayson's pov
The more I stared at her the more I wished she opened her eyes.
And then I found that she actually did, she didn't have anything on her so she could talk.
"Faith?"
She just stared at me, but I saw a smile appear on her face.
I smiled "are you okay?"
She didn't say anything, but she did try to, "yes"
I heard her voice for the first time then, she sounded okay, she just needed time to spit out her words.
"Ethan is coming if you wanted to see him"
"No" she said
My eyebrows pulled together "what? Why?"
She sighed "because I want to see you"
"But Ethan is your boyfriend, you love him"
She giggled, I wanted to be happy that she was smiling, but I think she was putting it on.
"Ethan isn't my boyfriend"
"But, you obviously love him"
She stared at me even more into my eyes, scaring me a bit.
"I've never loved Ethan."
I laughed a bit at first, but took her works in "then- then why did you date him? Why did you choose him?"
"because I liked him, I had a crush on him." She said,
"But I actually love you, I'm in love with you"
I backed up and was angry at first "why are you telling me this now? Why the fuck did you make me wait?"
"Because I said, I loved you".
"Faith, why do you love me? Why not Ethan"
"Because you loved me back. Ethan made me feel happy, but you made me feel something else"
"But you chose him"
"I already told you, I had a crush on him, and he was easy. Considering he doesn't really care about females"
"Of course he cares about you"
"He cares now because I'm hurt, you always cared"
I didn't know how to react, I couldn't tell you how much I loved hearing those words. But I don't know how Ethan's going to take it.
"I'm sorry I keep moving around, I'm sorry I wasn't being truthful with you"
"I'm sorry for not believing you when you said you loved me" she ended
"Ethan didn't let me near you when you two dated, or even when we found you" a single tear fell from my eye.
I looked up at her, she was looking upset, let down.
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yeah," she smiled "I just really want to kiss you right now"
I laughed and leaned in to kiss her forehead.
"I'm so glad you didn't leave me" I whispered
"When you get out of there I'm going to give you the biggest hug ever"
She smiled, brightly. It made me happy that was all okay.
All of a sudden Ethan burst in all angry and fuming, he pulled me up by my collar "what did you say to her"
"Ethan, put him down" faith squealed out, trying to shout.
"I will in a second baby" he said
"You'll fucking put him down now and walk out, and never talk to me again" she said.
"What?"
"Do it"
"It's okay faith babe you're probably just on some medicine"
"I'm not on anything, I just love him" she said
He stopped and put me down, "you can't though, when you get out of here, all of your family know that I saved you"
"You didn't fucking save me" she giggled
"I could've left your ass there to fucking rot" he gritted his teeth.
"I would've loved it if you did" she responded
"I don't think you understand, I waited here 3 days for you, he didn't stay for one."
"Because you didn't let him, and you just waited for me to wake up so that you could tell me how much of an asshole grayson is, when he was the one who cared about me more through all of this"
He didn't have anything else to say.
"Ethan. I love Grayson. And I always have"
