to the boy with blue eyes,

you've never really formally asked my name, and i haven't either. after we finished our stupid lattes, you asked me out on a date to the carnival that's closing down soon. i said yes, of course.

i was never really fond of carnivals, especially crowded ones like these. you held my hand as you dragged me along the boardwalk. it was extremely cold out that day, but your calloused hand kept me warm. our hands fit in together quite nicely.

you bought me cotton candy and even won a teddy bear for me. you named it after leo the ghost. of course you had to pry the victory out of a small child's hands and endure the backlash of an angry mother, but hey, a prize is a prize.

we went on rollercoasters together, even though i was never fond of them as well. i'm deathly afraid of heights, but you made us sit in the front cart and go on the fastest and tallest rides. i screamed, and cried a little, but you always made me smile. you looked as if you were enjoying yourself; if you're happy then i'm happy.

our night concluded on the ferris wheel where we said completely nothing. you blasted music on your phone, showing me your favorite songs. it's odd that you're a fan of melanie martinez, but hey, it's not for me to judge. i just listen to video game music and runescape. my taste in music is shitty.

you walked me home again and continued to hold my hand. we stood together on my porch, saying our goodbyes. i told you that i had a wonderful evening, one the best evenings in my life actually, and gave you a kiss on the cheek. you didn't expect that, and in all honestly, neither did i.

you pouted.

"you missed."

you proceeded to kiss me on the lips. you tasted like that pumpkin spice latte and the chocolate puff pastry you ate earlier at the cafe.

i'm still blushing until now,
