The Village

Gabe's POV

Me and Elena ran to the carriage holding hands (😍) and went to the village. I think I know where she's headed to....

Once we got to the shipping docks, Elena quickly got off the carriage and ran to find her best friend, Naomi. She looked everywhere the docks. She found Naomi's father so she decided to ask him where's Naomi. He told us that she was in his ship.

Elena pulled me towards Naomi's father's ship. When we arrived, Elena called out Naomi's name.

Naomi came out of the boat and inquired anxiously, "Elena? Is everything okay?!"

"No, it's not. Prince Alonso and his father are going to destroy....well....our love" Elena replied looking at me.

Naomi smiled and said, "so you finally told her didn't you?" She chuckled directing me, then she frowned.

"Wait, why is he trying to destroy your love?"

"Well it turns out that he...well...proposed to me..." Elena said awkwardly

Naomi looked surprised. "Wait, why did he proposed to you if you guys just met?! And you are too young to get married?!"

"I don't know, I think it was an early proposal for when I'm future queen. Anyways he proposed to me and Gabe comes in and...kiss me and then King Juan Ramone came in and demanded Alonso to make me be with him though he did looked a little nervous and Alonso tried convincing him to let us be but then he dragged Alonso to the side to chat with him-I bet it was to talk about a plan to make me be with him or something...that's why I need your help"

Naomi thought. She then said

"Hm...was the King a bit shaky and nervous?"

"Yes" Elena replied

"And did the Prince looked like he was kinda faking?"

"Um...well...I don't remember....Gabe do you know?" Elena asked.

I tried to remember but nothing. I shook my head then said, "I'm sorry Princess I don't remember anything" then sighed.

We all stood silence for a moment. Then, Naomi was about to say something but then stood quiet.

I noticed this and asked kindly, "Naomi, do you have an idea?"

Naomi blushed then said, " well I was-uh-thinking we should ask-well-ask Mateo I mean I'm pretty sure he has something he can help us in" She smiled at when she said Mateo.

I chuckled then said, "Not a bad idea! What you think sweetheart?" I covered my mouth after I said that. Oh no! What did I do? Why did I say that? Dang it Gabe you ruined everything! Why would you sa- I was insulting myself in my thinking that I blanked out for what happened next.

Elena kissed me. She kissed me passionately. It was a short kiss but it was beautiful. So worth saying sweetheart I thought.

When we broke apart, she smiled. "What was that for?" I asked idiotically.

She answered with a peck on my cheek then said, "Well that was for calling me sweetheart, honey" she blushed after the word 'honey'. I chuckled then gave her a peck on her lips.

We didn't realized that Naomi was there looking at us. "Um...love birds y'all love life is in danger...are we going to Mateos or not?" she interrupted.

"Oh what um yes, yes we are."

"Ok then, let's go!" Noami said ecstatically.

Next stop, Mateo's house!

No one's POV

When they got to Mateo's house, they knocked on the door. Mateo's mom answered the door. She greeted us and led us towards Mateo's workshop.

"Mateo, your friends are here to see you!" she told Mateo.

Mateo seemed happy to see them. Mostly for Naomi.

"H-hey Naomi" he waved to her.

"H-hey Mateo" waved Naomi in return.

They both blushed and Gabe and Elena realized this.

"Well nice for this special reunion again but we have a problem" Gabe interrupted. Elena smacked his arm. Gabe just laughed.

"Oh um sorry what happened?" inquired Mateo.

Gabe and Elena explained everything to Mateo while Naomi stared in awe at Mateo.

Afterwards, Mateo said, "Oh I think I know what spell can help you to read their minds and their true self to you!"

"Great! Can you cast it?" Gabe asked. Mateo nodded and took out his spellbook and looked for the page.

"Aha! Found it! Ok, so Elena step closer and close your eyes. You will be able to see what their thinking. All you have to do is think of the person you want to see their thoughts and stay right there. Got it?"

Elena nodded and did as she was told. She imagined Prince Alonso in her head.

"Wayabambathoughtseekering" he said waving his tamborine. "Seek the thoughts of whom thy person is thinking Wayabambathoughtseekering!!" he enchanted once more.

Elena deeped in her thoughts saw what was in Alonso's head. She saw images of him and her dancing at a wedding-their wedding. Then she saw him ruling Avalor by her side. She saw mean thoughts about Gabe. Then what she saw last was the one that gave her chills down the spine-she saw Gabe lying in the floor as dead as ice with blood all over him and Alonso laughing at him as he stood pale and still with nothing but an untold future for him.

Elena thought this was a nightmare. She screamed, "No, NO, NOO!!" then, suddenly everything went black.
