(tw!! im sorry ily; mention of depression & mental hospitals)

jc's pov

they had put cam in room 210. we couldn't see her for a while and i was stressing it. i kept buying food from the vending machine and eating it. i wasn't even hungry it was just a way to occupy myself.

"jc caylen?" i looked up and saw a doctor standing a couple feet away from me.

i went up to them, shaking their hand.

"and you are..." he took a couple seconds to read his clipboard. "cameron lox's uh significant other, correct?" they asked.

"yes."

"okay, so. we think its better off to put cameron inside a mental hospital for her to heal. she hasn't been answering questions and continues to stare at the wall in front of her. she needs to be taking care of hospitality wise. she can't heal at home." the doctor spoke while continuing to write on his clipboard.

"oh my god. u-uh will we be able to see her before she goes?" i gestured to jaylyn and kian who were sitting behind me. a tear slipped down from my tearduct. "you can all see her right now. room 210." i waved kian and jaylyn over as the doctor walked away.

"what did he say?" kian asked. "they're putting her in a fucking mental hospital. guess she can't 'heal at home'." i sighed. kian gasped.

"are you fucking serious? will we be able to visit her?" jaylyn pitched in.

"maybe. i'm not sure."

jaylyn sighed.

kians pov

this was gonna be a huge impact on all of us. you could already tell. especially jc.

the things he's done for her and how much he truly loves her is gonna leave him feeling depressed.

"well this is it. 210." we all walked in and somewhat gathered around her hospital bed, saying hello.

"hey, cam." i leaned down to give her a hug. "hey ki." she sounded and looked tired. both of her arms were wrapped all the way up to her elbows with bandages and she had wires and tubes coming in and out of her arms and just pretty much the rest of her body.

"did they, uh, tell you yet?" jc asked cam.

"that they're putting me in a fucking mental hospital? heard all about it. bunch of assholes, they don't know what they're doing." she rolled her eyes.

"you're hurting, cameron. it-" jc started, cam cutting him off almost instantly.

"yeah, no shit! i'm not trying to go to a fucking mental hospital though. i don't understand why they can't just put me on meds or something that won't make me feel so shitty about myself." she reached over to her juice box and took a sip.

"they can't do that because it goes a lot more deeper than you just being depressed, cameron. you're anxious and you have severe mental problems. it's nothing to be ashamed about or anything, it's just..." he sighed. you could tell he didn't know how to word what he was trying to say without hurting her feelings.

"its just, you have to cure and heal. properly. we love you and we'll visit you as much as we can. we're not going anywhere." jaylyn spoke.

"when am i leaving?" she sounded so cold and heartless. nothing like i've witnessed before from her.

"no clue. maybe in a couple days." jc said just as a doctor walked in.

"new news. hah. uh anyway, you're leaving for hospice tomorrow, cameron. in the morning. you're uh, family can't stay overnight. say you're goodbyes now and then they can stop by in the morning..." he was gonna say more but cam cut him off.

"tomorrow?! are you kidding?! i just got here! and you're already transporting me?"

"its our responsibility to get you somewhere safe as soon as possible, ma'am." the doctor replied with a tint of pity and sadness in his voice.

"it is what it is."
