The Watchers- end game (the watchers sequel)

Chapter 2-the chase

(Skys POV) "Here we are" *i say as me and blayke come to the nearest safe house i can think of as the sun begins to come over the horizon and then place my thumb on the screen of my communicator "reactivate and regroup" -pause- "confirmation code-2273" *i say into it and with a flash from the screen i know it worked then climb from my truck muttering to myself* "isn't this your personal field safe house?" *blayke asks* "it is" *i tell her going over to the door and looking down* "and why don't you expect them to come looking here?" *she asks* "because they already did" *i say noticing the frame is cracked from someone kicking it in or at least trying and with that i enter the house and enter a code into the security system as blayke enters behind me* "not the most lovely i know" *i say after a moment* "but we do have a good sound system and my record collection" *i say walking over the the turntable* "that's nice to have you know" *she says as i put on a record and then i sit down on the couch with blayke next to me* -sometime later- *i hear a car pull up and then a knock on the door and go answer it, gun drawn, to find luke on the other side blood covered and pretty ticked off* "hi" *i say in my best attempt to be cheerful sounding as he walks in* "what happened to you?" *i ask* "government..government happened" *he says leaning against a wall while i close the door* "i know how that is" *i say after a minute* "given they kicked down my door at 2AM because someone in the former Watchers did something illegal so they see us all as a homeland security risk " *long pause* "wasn't me" *he says* "I didn't expect it to be" *i reply* "your not that stupid though I know who is" "Steven" *blayke says finishing my sentence and i nod* "unfortunately, yes" *i say as more cars are heard outside* "only a fool would try that twice in six hours" *i say see government forces unloading outside and the go to a nearby safe and open it quickly tossing luke and blayke rifles and grab a shotgun emyself then turn towards the door as teams line up outside* -a couple minutes pass- *they kick down the door and run in opening fire first and then we shoot back taking them out one by one* "what twas it you said about them not showing up here? " *blayke asks* "shut up" *i say glaring at her slightly* "we need to move" *luke says * "agreed" *i say grabbing a laptop from the nearby desk* "my truck let's go!" *i say before running out the door followed by luke and blayke as sirens come screaming of the horizon* "fools" *i mutter climbing into my truck and starting the engine as it's large diesel motor churns to life as luke and blayke climb in and i throw the truck into reverse and floor it then turn sharply and skid to a halt in the street then shift into drive and floor it as police cars come flying into view over the hill behind us* "you'd better be flooring it!" *luke says loading his rifle* "something says there's more to this then we know" *i say as i floor it and smoke rolls from the tires as we take off cops hot one our tail
