Narrator POV
Infirmary room
Asami woke up, only to find herself in a infirmary room. She gave a groan and lift her head slightly. "What happened?" as she rubbed her eye. But images started to flashback to last night. That gave her a little headache. "Oh, that's right, I found Erika, sleeping but there was a loud noise. So, I searched for the noise and left all the chocolates. I found the Night class and Zero talking. The next thing I know is my nut allergy acted up and lights out. Wait, where's the chocolates!?" Frantically, she rotated her head, confused about the situation she's in. The door creaked open, revealing the headmaster.
"Hello, Asami how are feeling?"
"Still, kinda dizzy but I feel better." Realization struck her. "Where's Erika!?"
"Don't worry, I had one of the Night class escorted her." She sighed in relief. "Here." He handed her a glass of water and medications. She stuffed the medicines before chugging down the water. "But, unfortunately, there was a garbage bag filled with chocolates. Asami, did you stole chocolate from the Night class? I've also heard you snuck out of your dorm." He gave a calm yet serious glare.
She gulped, "Yes..." Her head was bowed in shame. "Who could've told on me? How does he know about that?!"
"If you're wondering how I know this, Kaname informed me about it."
"Kaname..." No response was heard from her.
"Asami, do you know why you were chosen to attend this academy?"
Her head raised in curiosity, she nodded, "Yeah, I was assigned by the Association right?"
"Yes, I'd had a feeling this academy will become a warzone. But I was requested by Kazusa to make sure you don't get yourself hurt or worse, killed. She thought a child like you wouldn't be able to handle the responsibility of protecting this academy. You have the skills of a hunter but not the mind." That made her confused and angry. Still holding the glass, she clenched it so hard that it cracked slightly.
She spatted, "The Association...Sensei...still thinks I'm a child? Sure, I tend to be reckless and foolish at times but I'm not naive or stupid!"
"I know you're upset. I know you aren't naive. And you're right, you're not a child but she wanted to protect you. She wants you to live as a normal girl. Please, understand that, Asami." She calmed down. "Also, you've received a letter from her." He held an purple envelope. "The time will come when you're ready. But for now, as punishment for breaking school rules, you will be promoted as secretary for both day and night classes. ~So, have fun.~" That struck a nerve on her.
She teared up the envelope. Pulled out a neatly folded paper. Unfolding it, revealing a cursive handwritten letter. It said,
"To my beloved child,
How was the academy? I missed you so much! You must wondering why you're living as a normal student or what being a guardian truly means. I knew from Kaien's perspectives, I'm sorry for not telling you sooner. Did he tell you the truth or you still don't know yet? You were being send as a student because I wanted you to learn what truly is to be a hunter and a normal human-being. Now, when a bigger threat comes, I want you to use Shadow and your strength. You're thinking what this academy was built for? His dream was to bring peace between vampires and humans. I don't know if that dream will be fulfilled. But it's a dream, you could never know what's real or an illusion. Well, hope my words of wisdoms guided you. Please response I miss having my child beside me!
,Your loving master, Kasuza."
"Wow, she really does care about me. They're right, they both are. I shouldn't flashed out in anger. I guessed that means, after I get out this room, maybe I'll go back to my dorm and play videogames." Smirking, she rested a good few hours.
