Ch. 10

      When I Was Your Man blasted through Alexa's headphones as she packed her things. Vegas just wasn't the place for her anymore and the sooner she got out of this place the better. Lauren knocked on her door and gave her sister more boxes for her things. She didn't agree with her sister leaving , but this was her life to live and if she wanted to run from her problems like she always did what more could her or their do? 

"I still don't thnk that you should do this Lexie."

"Well no one asked you to think now did they?"

Lauren, clearly hurt left the room and Alexa bit her lip.There was a soft knock on the door and Alexa went to open it, thinking it was Lauren, but only seeing her mother. 

"Can I come in?"

Alexa stepped aside letting her mother enter the now almost empty room. Zoey shook her head and took a deep breath, her baby daughter was acting like a spoiled brat and Zoe had just about had it with her. 

"Sit down."

Alexa sat criss crossed on her bed and looked up at her mother. 

"Yes?"

"When will you stop running from your problems."

Alexa crossed her arms.

"I'm not."

Zoey gave her a daughter a brow before moving on.

"Why didn't you let the man explain himself-"

"Nothing he can say will ever make me forgive him-"

This time Zoe cut off Alexa by rasing her hand.

"I wasn't done and how are you to cut me off."

Alexa grew a little scared only because her mother could at any minute slap her into another world if she dare cut her off again. 

"Now like I was saying, if you keep running from a problem you'll never get anywhere in life."

"Why should I give him a chance when you still haven't given dad a second chance, unlike you I wasn't going to let him play me for years on end."

Zoe had heard enough a slapped Alexa hard across the face.

"You don't know anything about that now I suggest you finish packing and get the hell out of my house."

Alexa looked at her mother with pure hatred and rage in her eyes.

"It's your fault that my dad left, you've always put you career before your family, you couldn't give two shits about us."

Zoey didn't know what had excalty come over Alexa, but she had clearly lost her touch on reality. Laruen had entered the room at some point to help defuse the situation before it got to out of hand.

"Alexa want is happening to you?"

Alexa looked over at Lauren before she laughed in her face.

"You always were the one to be mom's lap dog-"

"Alexa get the hell out off my house right now , don't worry about your stuff I'll have it sent to you."

"Don't even bother I'll have dad buy me some new things."

Zoey dropped to her knees, of course Zach had been talking to Alexa, that was why she was all over the place. Zoe took Alexa's hand and brought her close as she sobbed into her mother's chest. 

She couldn't believe that Alexa had fell for his lies once again, hell he had done the same thing with her first heartbreak.

"Lauren unpack her things."

Lauren nodded her head.

"I'm going to run you a hot bath ok."

Alexa looked up at her mother and hugged her.

"I'm sorry you guys."

"We forgive you," the said in unsion.

    Once Alexa had gotten settled for the night Zoe called Zach.

"Hello?"

"If you EVER come after my children again, I"ll end you."

She hung up the phone and got herself settled for the night. What a night, she thought to herself.
