Time flies. It's my cousin's wedding day! "Bout time. You're thirty one already!" I said to my cousin. "Yeah, my bride the only girl that can actually get my eyes off the computer." Andy said. I burst out laughing. "What?!" he said in confusion. "Surrrreee when you have the best mom and dad in the world! Just that you can't get your butt off that gaming chair of yours! They know all the places and you just decide not to go." I said. He thought for a moment, "You're actually right." he shrugged it of, "Oh well, I'm getting married as my mom wished." he smiled. "Well you didn't on time." I said pouting. "What do you mean?" he said in confusion. "I can't be a flower girl anymore!" I laughed. "Oh, I'm sorry didn't know u wanted to be." he laughed along.
"Well have the best day ever today! I'm gonna look around." I said to him as there was a whole lot of people waiting to talk and congratulate him. He gave a thumbs up, "I know u love cake so enjoy it!" he smiled. "Sure will!" I walked away.
I went straight to the bathroom fixing my skirt as it was too short "Really mom. You could've gave me a longer skirt." I complained to myself. I looked in the mirror at my curled hair. It was the first time she ever let me curl my hair or else it would be naturally straight my whole life. I went out of the bathroom to a sight of seeing the bride talking to a cute guy with glasses.
He looks. Eighteen at the least. My cheeks went from plain to bright pink. He turned his head and our eyes met. I quickly turned away, "He's way out of my league. He looks so much older." I sighed. That's when I saw my friend. A friend I haven't seen for a long time. "HEY!" she shouted and ran to hug me, "Long time no see!" I hugged back, "Well guess who's back! For forever!" Then she broke free from the hug and was like,"YOU!" we both started laughing. "Hey...." said Britney, my friend. "Oh no way you have no damn make-up?"
I shook my head.
She then dragged me to the bathroom and applied make-up on me. I looked in the mirror. "Damn girl. Your make up skills are on point!" I said to her. "Yes and you slay." she replied. We started laughing together. "Well since we sit at different tables see you next week. That's when school opens right?" she said excitedly. "Yess, see you there!" so we got out of the bathroom and split paths.
I looked around until I saw the eyes of glasses guy again. He starred at me. I starred at him. "Uhm..." he broke the awkward stare. "What is your relationship with the groom? I saw you talking to him earlier so I just wanted to ask...", he looked at me waiting for my reply. I cleared my throat. "Oh uhh... He's my cousin.", I said. "Oh I see... Well... Nice meeting you." he walked away.
I took a deep breath. Luckily Britney brushed my cheeks bright pink or else he would have noticed. My heartbeat slowed down from when I was talking to him. Awkward huh. I bet I'll never see him again. I sighed and walked to my table where my mom sat, had a drink, ate and waited for everything to end.
