SUPERPOWERS! Running Man

Running Man, Join Forces! Pt.2

The airport was finally secured from any hostile activity, and schedule was soon to regular again. In the midst of all of this, was a doctor named Song Hyekyo, she was just about to go home when suddenly a soldier approached her.

Joongki approached the woman in the doctor's clothes slowly, he didn't want her to get startled. When she finally noticed him, he requested her to follow him.

They passed through all of the crowds, some still shaken up from the experience, others telling their family about their condition through their phones. They finally made it to the front of the airport where a temporary med-camp was set.

Inside of the med-camp was a severedly wounded man, his jaw was full of blood, and his body was full of cuts and bruises.

"What happened to him?" The doctor immediately asked. The man's condition was critical, she had to do an operation on him immediately, or the man might not have a proper way to eat anymore.

Joongki decided that this was his cue. He left the med-camp.

A man in a grandma attire was walking through the crowd of people in the airport. Some people looked at him funny while others just didn't have enough energy in them to notice.

Dong Wan entered a multi-function room where six people were present. There was Kwang Soo, Ji Lupin, Ha Donghoon, Miss Song Jihyo, Kang Gary and Sgt. Kim Jongkook. Both Kwang Soo and Ji Lupin stood up to salute Dong Wang (though Kwang Soo was still upset about his identity leak). What was more surprising was that Jong Kook also stood and greeted Dong Wan in an informal way, "Hey, Dong Wan. How long has it been? 15 years or so? How are you doing?"

Kwang Soo was shocked in seeing Dong Wan's response. "Hello, Jongkook-ssi. It has been a long time. I see that you're doing well in the army. Please sit down all of you."

After everyone was seated, Dong Wan stated the reason he was there.

"As you should have already known, this attack was led by the leader of the terrorist group, The So-Called Hunter. His real name, which I'll only confide in you, is Choi Minsoo. He used to be a spy from The Spy Department just like Kwang Soo and Jongkook here. He had gone rogue ever since he claimed that the country had betrayed him. Now this was before my time as the Spy President, as Jongkook would vouch for, I was still just a rookie spy assistant at that time, so I didn't know the details. Minsoo had become a classified national threat ever since, even international. He had played a significant role in the bombing of London, which fortunately was stopped by Yoomes Bond. Minsoo was only one of the many threats to peace of this world. So, right now, I'm proposing an idea I'd had ever since becoming The Spy President. I hope that you will join me in my Running Man Project."

Silence followed.

Kwang Soo was shocked to find out that Jongkook was a former spy, and was even more outrageous that Yoomes Bond was always referred by his spy name.

Ji Lupin was just lost. He understood most of the story, but he didn't understand why they were being told this. As a former member of The Spy Department, Lupin knew the protocols. They were never to say anything about their job. Not to their parents, wifes, and children. This was a matter of national security, but here stood Dong Wan explaining what shouldn't be explained to three civillians. He was truly lost.

Donghoon already knew most of it from Kwang Soo, but he didn't know what it's connection with him. And what's with the name Running Man? Sound so not spyish.

Jihyo was confused. She knew it, she had a blank face on her look everytime this happened. She didn't understand what the stranger wearing the grandma outfit was talking about. She decided to just listen until the very end and get out of there.

Both Kang Gary and Kim Jongkook was pretty sure they knew where this was going.

"I want all of you, excluding Kim Jingkook as he's in the army, to be a part of Korea's own elite spy team, Running Man. I'll give you some time to consider?"

"So, what happens if we don't want to join?" Jihyo asked.

"That's simple. You'll be put under government surveillance."

"What does that mean?" This time it was Donghoon.

"That means that every activities, emails, and transfers you do will be noted by the government. Remember, we wouldn't want anybody telling classified intel to random people. If you're still not satisfied, I'll give you another bonus, all of your criminal records would be erased and you'll be given a new life." Donghoon was looking at Jihyo.

"Kim Jongkook, I'm also telling you this because you're the only one in the army whom I trust. I hope that if you shall ever retire from the army, you would join us. That's all for today. I'll hear your reply this exact time tomorrow in this exact same place.

Donghoon walked out of the room.

And so, the story of Running Man began.

Okay, this is only the beginning.
The next few chapters are mostly about how the members are handling this sudden change. Especially Donghoon and Jihyo.
