Yohoho! I'm back and kicking, once again ready to tackle on this story. Been around five months since I've updated this, and yeah... not good, not good at all. Nevertheless, I'm happy to say that I've gotten quite the good rhythm with my other story, The Rise of Yoomes Bond,  and so do go check it out if you haven't! For now, I shall focus on getting my groove and we'll see where we go out from here. But knowing myself, I can't really bring myself to promise anything. I do hope however that this upload could help you guys out with the boredom that comes with quarantine. So let'sss gooo!!

As of the moment, Donghoon was the only one who knew about the mission. He was worried because a) he was going to the basement alone and b) he had no way of contacting the others. But eventhough faced with such trials, Donghoon decided to steel himself and plunged into the darkness that was the basement, with the only comforting thing with him being the flashlight. Even the small gun he had didn't really give him that much confident. Eventhough he now knew what he was up against and he was also less scared, Donghoon still didn't know how the zombies were like nor how they acted. He had too many questions that needed answering.

"Aish, think later, do first," Donghoon muttered. He was inch-by-inch getting closer towards finding the Survivor.

As Donghoon made his way down into the basement via a broken escalator, he kept on making sure that nothing was coming up on him or behind him. The sounds of his footsteps echoed into the darkness, and Donghoon couldn't shake the feeling of something or someone being in the far distance, watching him, waiting for him to get closer. It was an uneasy thought, but Donghoon persevered.

The air grew colder and colder with every step Donghoon took, and he started pointing his flashlight everywhere to reassure himself. Once he finally got down into the basement, Donghoon was greeted by a large space that seemed to have been used for an underground canteen. Tables and chairs were all scattereed on the floor, and signs of blood could be seen pasted on them. It was a horrifying sight, but Donghoon could only gulp and pressed on. He pointed his flashlight to every nook and cranny, but it seemed that he was truly alone in this underground basement. This thought did not  give him any comfort.

"Aish, come on, Donghoon! You've faced tougher things before," he tried to encourage himself.

Donghoon spent a couple more minutes in the underground canteen, but after deciding that it would be fruitless to only stay in one place, he decided to venture to other parts of the basement. He opened the door leading out of the canteen and entered into the complete darkness of the parking lot of the basement.

There must be some clue of where this Last Survivor is supposed to be, Donghoon thought to himself. Dong Wan had never done a simulation without some form of clear hints before. Unless... Unless he wanted this one simulation to be different!?

Donghoon's suspicions were indeed correct, for Dong Wan had not only made this exact simulation to give them a different atmosphere to face, but he had also wanted to see what the members could do in the face of a completely unknown problem.

After having figured it out in his head, Donghoon became more and more sure of what he needed to do. Nothing could be done if he were to only stay in one place, and so he had to venture out, even on his own, in order to carry out the mission. This was something important that he had to learn for later on in actual missions, he needed to be prepared to face any kind of situations.

"Grrrrrrrrrrr,"  groans came from behind Donghoon as he was walking. Immediately knowing what was about to happen if he were to do nothing, Donghoon quickly ran away from the sound and made haste to go hide in between the cars present in the dark basement. Donghoon also remembered to turn off his flashlight, still unsure of what the zombies were capable of. In this complete darkness, all Donghoon could rely on was his instincts: his sense of hearing and smell. From far away, Dong Wan gave an approving nod. He was happy to see how much Donghoon had improved.
