I believe the title can speak for itself to be honesr🤣🤣 Nevertheless, I hope you all enjoy this chapter of the Commander once more donning his agent life, and...

Here. We. Go.

"Are you sure about this?"

These were the words that came out of both Jaesuk and Dong Wan's mouth as they heard what Jongkook's suggestion regarding to their current situation.

"Yes, I am one-hundred percent sure," Jongkook replied confidently. "I'm no longer bound to the military, so I can definitely take Jaesuk's place in searching for this missing man of ours. Besides, if we wait for anybody else, it might cause us to lose precious time."

Without waiting for any response, Jongkook quickly left to gear himself up with the equipments available in the Spy Department building, and he was genuinely surprised to find out that the building's layout had not changed that much since the old days.

While this was happening, Jaesuk could only look at Dong Wan with eyes filled with uncertainty for he was not sure what to make of the situation.

"Is this genuinely okay? The man's basically a convict right now!" Jaesuk tried to rationalise the situation. As much as he was happy to have his old partner back, he was not sure whether the department could handle the repercussions that might come along with it.

"Let's just allow it to play out for now," Dong Wan replied. "Besides... Right now, Gary's our main concern."

"Alright," Jaesuk agreed after thinking the whole situation through once more. "I see your point."

And as such, Jongkook finally began his first mission after coming back to the Agency.

"You know where you need to go right?" Jaesuk's voice rang in Jongkook's earpiece as he made his way through the ever-so busy streets of Seoul.

"Yes, I do. Chill out, I still got this," Jongkook replied confidently. Although he did have a slight first-day-at work nervousness, he tried his best to shake it off. It of course did help the fact that he was once again armed with a gun as well as a protective suit underneath his shirt, which gave him a much needed confidence boost. "Anyways, this guy who's missing... He's the one back from the airport, wasn't he? The one who managed to take down all of the hostiles outside the waiting room..."

"Yes. Yes, he is. Why do you ask?"

"Nothing," Jongkook responded shortly. "Just thought he wasn't the type to just brashly enter unknown territories."

"Well, about that..."

With that, Jaesuk began telling Jongkook all about Jihyo and the story about how he was shot. However, as much as Jongkook could understand Gary's frustrations, he still deemed his actions as being very reckless. It might be the Senior Agent in him talking, but Jongkook stood firm on his opinion of this all the way until he finally made it to residence where Gary's location was last known.

"So, how am I supposed to enter this residence again?" Jongkook asked, only realising now that the security might prove to be a little bit of a hassle.

"Just show them the ID card located on top of the visor, and you'll be allowed entrance. It shows that you're here under the government's order."

"Are you sure that's the best way?" Jongkook questioned, unsure of whether telling an outside party of his presence as an Agent would be a smart move.

"It's better that way. At least you'll be able to move through the residence much more easily without having to sneak around. Besides... According to the law, the security should have no right in disclosing need-to-know information to the public, so don't worry too much about it."

"Okay then..."

Jongkook followed Jaesuk's orders and approached the security with the ID card he had just pulled out. As much as he was not willing to trust the security that easily, he decided that gaining an entrance quickly was of the utmost priority at the moment.

"Is everything fine, sir?" Jongkook asked, as he realised that the security was taking a much longer time than expected.

"Oh, it's nothing. Here you go," one of the security handed back the ID card with a smile on his face. Although the smile was clearly a sincere one (or at least it seemed as so), Jongkook still couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that he had been having.

"Alright. Thank you."

Jongkook took back the ID card and drove his way inside the residence, careful to look out for any single clue that might give him a lead. However, after some ten-minutes of driving, Jongkook realised that things weren't going to be as easy as hoped.

"Is there any other thing that we could look out for?" Jongkook asked into his earpiece. Almost all house seemed the same with the exception of some, and as such this caused the search for Gary to almost be as impossible as searching for a needle in a haystack.

"The Receptionists are doing all they can to gather more info, so you just wait and I'll relay them to you. For now, you just continue on scanning the area."

"Arasso."

Once having found the perfect place to park his car, Jongkook got out and decided to stretch his legs while on the lookout for any signs of the man in question.

After having roamed around aimlessly for around ten minutes, the first useful piece of info was finally relayed to Jongkook.

"So he was last seen tailing a white sedan? Okay... I'll look out for it."

And thus began Jongkook's search for said car which eventually led him to the mansion located at the far edge of the residence, just next to the lake. It was a beautiful sight to behold, but this was not the main reason why Jongkook's attention had been caught by it. Instead, it was due to the presence of a very suspicious white sedan which had just made its way out of the mansion's garage.

Not wanting to be potentially seen, Jongkook hid himself behind some of the trees that were present along the road, and watched from the shadows as the car passed by him.

However, as soon as the car was no longer in his field of vision, Jongkook noticed that it was no longer audible as well. An ominous feeling suddenly swept by Jongkook, and he couldn't help but turn around to see what had happened.

It was at that exact moment that the first punch was laid.

And there we go. A rather short chapter, but this is actually the average length of a chapter that I am aiming for... Although I often do overdo it. Still, I hope you all have enjoyed this nice, little teaser of Jongkook's return as an Agent, and I'll see you in the next chapter!!
