Iwazumi's POV

I turned to Oikawa's house and ran as fast as my legs could take me, desperately clutching onto the note he wrote. I reached his house, taking out a spare key from under a plant pot. I fumbled a bit, my hands trembling. Please don't. Please don't leave me alone. The only thing on my mind. I finally got it and ran inside, heading to his room. I had hoped to find him lying on his bed, watching an alien documentary with his cute lil glasses on, but instead I was greeted with one of the worsts things imaginable. There lay Oikawa in a pool of blood. I ran to his side, trying to stop his wrists from bleeding. I fished my phone out of my pocket and called for an ambulance. I was trembling, sobbing.

"Don't you dare leave me shittykawa" I cried, pulling him to my chest.

"S-so mean... Iwa-chan...." I hear a whisper. I pull back and see his eyes half open, clearly in pain.

"D-don't worry, help will be on their way soon." I comfort him, trying not to let my voice shake. He moved his arm, wincing in pain,

"You shouldn't-" I try to tell him, but was cut off with his hand on my cheek.

"Don't cry Iwa-chan, it'll be alright..." he says softly.

"H-how c-can this b-be alright? I can't lose you." I say, closing my eyes, holding the hand on my cheek.

"Iwa-ch-"

"I love you Oikawa Tooru, and I can't lose you." I whisper to him. I suddenly feel his hand that was on my cheek relax. I open my eyes to see his closed.

"No no no no, Oikawa, don't, please, please don't go." I say as I raise my voice. Not a moment later the paramedics arrive. Thankfully I was allowed to ride in and stay by his side. I didn't let go until a nurse at the hospital told me they had to take him to stitch him up and such.

I sat on a chair in the waiting room, anxious. I was leaning forward, my head resting on my hands, which were resting on my legs. I had texted Mattsun earlier about where we were. I felt a pat on my shoulder, I looked up, both hoping and dreading it was the nurse. Fortunately it was just Mattsun with Makki behind him. He handed me a bag,

"I thought you might need this." He says,

"I don't-" I was about to reject, when I looked down at my clothes. I was just wearing a white shirt and jersey shorts, both stained red. "Th-thanks" I say as I take the bag and walk to the nearest bathroom.

I came out looking a bit more refreshed. Mattsun got me just some jeans and a random T-shirt. Just as I was going back to my seat, I see the nurse that took Oikawa walking towards the waiting room. I pick up the pace and just as I reached Mattsun and Makki the nurse approaches me.

"You were the one who came in with Oikawa Tooru, right?" She asks me in a soothing tone.

"Y-yes, how is he?" I quickly ask as I reply.

"The bad news is that he lost a lot of blood and needed transfusion immediately. The good news is that you got there just in time and he will recover smoothly." She says while giving a light smile.

"Can we see him?"

"Unfortunately, only one can go in for now."

"Oh, uhm..." I look at them and they just smile while gesturing for me to go. "I'll be the one to go see him." She nods and tells me to follow her. I look back and nod in appreciation towards my two friends.

I enter the room, unprepared for what I'm about to see. I see Oikawa sleeping peacefully on the bed, bandages around his forearms and an IV drop. I slowly move towards him, taking a seat at the stool beside his bed. Besides the steady beeping of the machine, silence wrapped the room, you could almost hear a needle drop. I hesitantly reach for his hand, not wanting to wake him up. I rest my head on the bed, still looking at him. I start rubbing small circles at the back of his hand,

"I'm sorry Tooru." I whisper, a few tears escaping my eyes. I take a deep breath and closed my eyes, listening to his steady breathing, before eventually drifting to sleep.

Oikawa's POV

I slowly opened my eyes but was blinded by the light pouring from the window. Where am I? I look around seeing a basically empty white room, an IV drop and a monitor. Am I in a hospital? I try getting up, but a sharp pain from my forearms stop me. I lay back down and feel something heavy on my right hand. I glance down to see a sleeping Iwa-chan, holding my hand. I smile softly at his sleeping face, but notice redness around his eyes. I suddenly recall the events that happened last night. I remember when he said those three words my heart's been aching to hear.  A tear falls from my cheek and I slowly shake off his hand and bring mine over to his head, ignoring the pain. I slowly run my hand over his hair, careful not to wake him up. I caress his cheek with my thumb. I'm praying this is real and I'm not in some coma, imagining this. I suddenly hear a groan from him, his eyes opening right after.

"Good morning Iwa-chan.." I say softly with a smile. He freezes and just stare at me, which makes me giggle a bit. He lifts his head to sit up and I pull my hand back.

"You're awake.." He breaths out. I reach for his cheek again and hum. I was taken aback by the sudden tackle-hug, though, he was careful not to hurt me. I put one arm around him, kinda hugging him back, though I couldn't since it hurt.

"I thought I was gonna lose you," he whispers in my ear, "I thought I'd never see you again." He chokes out. I don't reply, but tears just fall. He pulls back and places his hands on my face.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, th-that I left you-"

"It's alright Iwa-ch-"

"It's not." He looks deep into my eyes, "You wouldn't have gone through this pain... I only kept my distance because I didn't know what to do with my feelings... I'm so-"

"Like I said Iwa-chan, it's okay. How else would I have gotten you to confess." I say jokingly. He scoffs and leans in, our foreheads touching.

"I love you Oikawa Tooru." He says, which makes me blush.

"I love you too Iwazumi Hajime." I whisper back and lean forward. Our lips connect and I close my eyes. I feel my heart beat hard, and I smile into the kiss. He does the same, and after a minute or two, pulls back.

"You better not leave me ever again." He says sternly. I giggle and shake my head in response,

"Never.."

Welp. I love this so much. This was supposed to be how it really ends, but this is an angst book after all :) I may or may not do an alternate ending for future chapter, maybe if many requests it ¯\_()_/¯ Again, I wrote this at 3 am, so excuse the grammar and spelling errors. I hope you liked this chapter, because I really enjoy writing these. Until next chapter,
