I saw a doctor walk out of the double doors.

''Kate Boswell's family.'' I stood up as did her grandparents. They nodded at me and I walked forward.

''Is she alright?'Can I see her? Is she alive?'' The doctor hushed me.

''You may see her now, but only one at the moment.'' I looked at her grandparents and the urged me to go. I started running through the hallways.

''Sir, no running.'' A lady with long black hair that looked mexican and in her early 20's said.

''Fuck off.'' And the lady gasped. I admit that was a tad bit harsh, but my girl was awake. I got to her room 317. The door was slightly adjar. I pushed it opened slightly more and there she was laying in her bed smiling at me.

''Gabe.'' She sounded so happy. I rushed over to her tears blurring my vision.

He hugged me his body shaking slightly. I soon realized he was crying. I rubbed his back.

''You're okay.''

''I'm okay.''

''There was....so much blood.. I thought...'' He sobbed.

''Gabe, I'm okay I'm here.'' He looked at me and all I saw was his bright blue eyes. And I knew he was okay, I was okay, we were okay.

''You're here.'' I nodded wrapping my arms around his neck and kissed him. I pulled away and twiddled my thumbs.

''I can go home now.'' I looked up at him and he smiled.

''Great.'' I stood up slowly and went to the bathroom door after grabbing my clothes.

''You just need to sign the discharge papers.''

I walked down the hall and the same nurse that I cursed at was walking down the same hall.

''Nurse, miss.'' I called her frantically when she turned and saw me her eyes darkened.

''Yes, sir how may I help you?''

''I don't want any help. I just wanted to say sorry for what I said to you earlier. I was just happy to finally see my girlfriend. She was hurt pretty bad and I didn't know...'' I stopped speaking just saying that I could have lost her hurt to much. The nurses eyes softend.

''I understand. I was in a postion like that expect I didn't get too run down the hallway to see him. I walked down a sidewalk lined with gravestones. So I am sorry for snapping at you.'' My heart tugged at her story. I nodded and gave her a hug before heading to the waiting room asking her grandparents to sign the discharge papers. I walked really fast back down the hallway to see Kate walking my way. She looked beautiful as always, but this time she walked with a limp. I wouldn't of noticed if she didn't have a pained expression on her face. I walked up to her stopping her from walking. I picked her up bridal style and carried her. She winced and closed her eyes.

''It'll be okay babe. I promise the pain will go away. If I could take the pain away I would.'' I realized what I said sounded a little weird. I chuckled and she smacked my chest.

''You're so dirty minded.'' I nodded in agrement I just kept talking to her trying to keep her mind off the pain. Her grandparents saw us and he grandmother gasped covering her mouth. Kate's eyes were closed and I wasn't sure if she was sleeping or not. Her gradnparents walked with us to the car since I rode in an ambulance here. I was in the back with Kate's head laid in my lap. She let a few snores escape past her lip. I knew her head has stiches in it so I just rubbed small circles in her waist. Once we got back to the beach house I layed her on the couch and waved good bye to her grandparents. Her grandmother didn't talk much I found out she only blamed herself for this mess.
