Kate p.o.v
Today was the big assembly before the dance. We do this every year. Bel's dance team is doing a litte thing for us today. And I am quite excited, I know she is. She was at my house for a little bit practicing. Jake and Bel picked me up for school when I texted them and told them I was finally ready.
'Bells are you excited.'' She turned around in her seat and smiled at me.
''I am so nervous though. I don't want to forget anything.'' She looked so cute in her uniform. It was a black v-neck with blue on the sides and on the ''v'' part of the shirt. And her last name was printed on the back in blue letters. And her capris were all black and they had a blue stripe going down on the side. Her blond hair was pulled up into a high ponytail. And her blue eyes shone bright. She was happy and I could tell she had nothing to worry about.
We got to the school and the day went through like a breeze. Everyone was excited for the assembly. Me and Jake sat in the front on the bottom of the bleachers. Bel sat with her team smiling watching the rest of the show go down. Soon the called for the JV Rhymettes. They got in their formation. Bel had her hip popped out her hand on it. And one hand placed on her forehead like she was pretending to faint. And her one leg bent. The beat started and her hip moved with it. She was the first to start dancing. She did a cartwheel and started shaking her body in a sexy way I guess. Jake's gaze was locked on her as she swayed her hips. She did a back hand spring and did the splitz. She twirled and did a booty shake. The muisc stopped and she froze leaning back. The music started back up and she popped back in place. One by one her whole team dropped it low and slowly rocked their body back to a standing point. She did another cartwheel and another girl did a back flip. They did some kind of move, but by the end of the dance the whole team formed a ''B'' for Blue Field High. Me and Jake stood up just like everyone else and cheered.
We were all dismissed and we left and went home. They dropped me off and Jake went to Bel's house. I got inside and did my homework and fell asleep. I woke up and showered. Bel and Jake were coming over ot hang out today before the dance. And here we sat watching t.v. Bel and Jake were so cute cuddling with each other. I wish I had Gabe. Wait what no I don't. Man Sam I could really use your advice right now.
It was soon 5:30 and everyone left to go get ready for the dance. I straightened my hair and did my make-up. I pulled my white dress out of my closet and slid it on. I slipped on my black heels. I walked down the steps to see Jake and Bel standing there. Bel was in a blue dress like mine where it hand one strap on your shoulder. Her hair curled and draped over her shoulder. Jake was in a balck tux. He grabbed my hand and helped me off the last step.
"Sam would be so proud of you Kate. I know I am." I smiled at him. We took a few pictures and after that we were off to the dance.
*At the dance*
I danced with Bel and Jake for while. And soon a slow song came on and I let them dance. I walked outside to get some air when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around to see Gabe.
"What are you doing out here the dance is in there?" I asked him
"Kate I only came to this stupid dance hoping that you would be here. It has been one month since you last pushed me away. And it is absolutely driving me crazy that I can't be next to you without wanting to just hold you and whisper its going to be okay. I have no clue what happened in your past that has impacted you into the person that you are today not that you're a bad person I mean my god you're perfect. It's just Kate I can tell you have a part of your past that has a toll on you still and none of that matters to me because I like you, I like you a lot."
"Gabe-"
"Kate I may not be able to go back in time and change your past, but I can be by your side writing your future with you. If you just let me in."
"I have no clue why your trying so hard. What do you want Gabe?"
"I want you Kate. I want all of you. I want to be able to wake up in the morning knowing that I finally got you. I want to be apart of your story." He whispered he grabbed my hand and I felt a spark. He pulled me close and into a hug and this time I didn't push him away. I nodded my head and relaxed.
"Let me be there for you." I nodded and smiled.
Gabe p.o.v
When I saw her tonight it proved how much I really needed her. She lit up the room with her bright smile. Her white dress brought out her gray eyes. She was so beautiful and as soon as she let me in I don't know why, but it brought a feeling I never felt before. Having her in my arms felt right. She belonged here. Kate was mine. I know she was only letting me in as her friend for now but soon I can get her to really be mine.
