"Come on, C-Connor, let's get inside," Evan said, chuckling a little as he helped his boyfriend into the house.

Connor laughed rather loudly.

"If you were a tree, you'd be a good tree," Connor slurred, a sloppy grin on his face. (@Galaxybluefire 😜)

Evan blushed brightly as he fumbled with the keys.

"Connor," he mumbled, "you're too sweet."

Connor smiled and the pair walked into house, then flopped on the couch. Connor wrapped his arms around Evan.

"But it's TRUE," he muttered, yawning.

Five minutes later, Connor was out like a light.

Connor stretched his arms out and sat up from Evan's couch. Evan was still laying beside him. Connor smiled and gently shook his shoulder. Evan yawned and sat up, then cautiously looked at Connor.

"A-are you back to normal?" he asked. Connor laughed and raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

Evan blushed and looked down at his lap, smiling.

"Um, you were- a little- loopy- after the surgery," he said.

Connor raised an eyebrow.

"Great, how bad was I?" he asked.

Evan laughed and looked up.

"Well, you told me I would be a good tree."

Connor stared at Evan and blinked.

"I did what?"

"You told me I would be a good tree!" Evan repeated, giggling at Connor's reaction.

Connor wrapped his arms protectively around Evan's waist and pulled him closer, trying to work out what he meant.

"Well, if it helps, I'm flattered!" Evan said.

Connor smiled, confused at himself, but loving and living for the boy.
