It's almost the day. Not too much longer until your fiancee Gohn gets discharged from his mandatory military service. You've been dying to see him again, let alone be with him again. The last you heard from him was "wait for me". Every day you've waited patiently for him to return with your daughter from a relationship before him. She always asked about him. She's been around him since she was about one and a half years old.
"Mommy, when's he coming home?" she would look at you with her big innocent eyes. You always said he would come back soon. Every day it got closer and closer to when he actually would come back. Not too much longer, just hang in there a little longer. After the few days go by, his discharge date has finally come.
You and your daughter show up to go see him. It had been about a half hour and while everyone was getting to see their families and everything, you still hadn't seen Gohn. You were getting worried you had the days mixed up.
"Mommy, is Daddy coming home soon?" your daughter asked shyly, she had gotten accustomed to calling him her father.
"He will sweetie, I know it," just as you said that you looked a little ways away and heard someone saying your name, walking towards you.
"(Y/N)! (Y/N)!!" a familiar voice yelled for you. It was Gohn. The minute you saw him your eyes began tearing up. You called back for him and you and your daughter headed in his direction. When you got to him he held you both close enough to hear his heart pounding.
"Dongsung, I missed you so much," you said, your voice muffled into his chest but still audible.
"Um excuse me... I missed you too!" your daughter said making you two laugh. She was being held up by him with one arm, and he held you with the other.
"Don't worry, from now on, I'll be able to see you a lot more," he held back his tears, as his voice shook a little.
"Please don't cry Daddy," your daughter said and held onto him tightly.
"Don't worry, Daddy's alright... Daddy's home, and he's not gonna be leaving like he did before. I promise," Gohn said, giving her a kiss on the head. He looked at you and gave you a kiss, and gave you both a smile, "alright girls, let's go home."
