(My bias on NCT Dream y'all... he somehow managed to win over my heart listen to the song before reading this. 1. I have lyrics from it in the story, 2. I love this song. Hope you enjoy!)

It's been a few months, and after finally realizing you and Donghyuck have feelings for each other, you still have yet to admit that they are there to each other. You were just seen as another fan and he was famous, and to you, there's no way you could ever be together... no matter how much you want to be. To him, he just want to be able to hold you and call you his already, but he doesn't know how to show you. That is, until one time at a concert of NCT's, where you were in the front row. He kept smiling at you, sending winks at you and making finger hearts to you. You smiled every time, brushing it off, thinking that he was just doing it for fan service. You looked down and saw your backstage pass, smiling a little knowing you get to see him again. You didn't get to see him as much because of his schedules. He always tried to make time for you, in this case he was able to make enough time for you after the show, especially since you had a backstage pass. You just hoped that one day the time made for you was because you were together. 

After the show you headed back to see everyone along with some other fans, the first person you went to see was Donghyuck. The second he saw you, and you saw him, your eyes locked. It was like you were the only two people in the room. You were able to make your way to him, when you were close enough, he took your wrist and pulled you against him, making other fans awe and cheer, they thought it was all just fan service, you had actually kind of hoped that it was, but you knew better. You held onto him, hiding your face in his chest so that no one could fully see who you were. 

"Wait for me," was all he said to you.

"I will," was all you could get out, before you let go of each other. You headed off to a spot in the room where the guards could never find you after visiting the other dream members, explaining how he asked for you to Mark. He understood instantly. 

An hour passes and all the fans go away finally, you're the only one left. Donghyuck went back to where he was when meeting up with all the fans, and you slowly stepped out from your little corner, waiting for him to see you. 

"Donghyuck," you said, just barely loud enough for him to hear you and he started looking for you. The second he saw you, he started walking over to you and you headed right for him, and the next thing you knew he was holding you close again. 

"Finally, I get to see you again. I missed you," he said, not yet looking down at you. 

"I missed you too," you said and you tried looking up at him, he looked back down to see you, you were nearly in tears... he knew just what was wrong.

He held your face in his hands gently, and calmed you down. 

"I know, I know what's wrong... we both make it obvious when we're alone, but we can't when everyone else is around," he said, indirectly confessing to you. You look at him slightly shocked that he admitted it. "Yes, I like you, and I can tell that you like me back. I wish that we could be together openly, but it's so hard. If you just give it a chance, then we could make this happen.

"It's hard to even believe that you really like me, how could we ever actually be together? I'm just a fan, I'm like everyone else, everyone would think we've been together longer than we actually would be if we made things official. We can sit here and jokingly say 'I love you' to each other and actually mean it, when we can't make it obvious that we do. How could this ever work out? Plus, you're always busy," you said and looked at him with a half-heartbroken look in your eyes.

"I could never be too busy for you, can't we just try this?" he asked looking at you hopefully.

"We can try," you finally said after a long moment of silence and deep thought. Donghyuck smiled.

"Really? We can? We can be together?" he asked, beaming. You shyly nodded, smiling a little, doubting that it'll work out, but from now on, you knew that he's actually yours, and you're his. Your heart began nearly beating out of your chest. 

"Hey, (Y/N), look at me real quick?" he asked and you looked up, as he had wanted you to. Before you could say anything, he gently place a shy but caring kiss on your lips. For a moment, all of your doubts melted away, and you felt like this could actually work out.
