ThursdayChuck was making breakfast as everyone slowly filtered into the living or dining room in silence as most of them weren't morning people.
Cas came in smiling. "Hi Chuck." He yawned and sat on the chair Dean had been saving for him.
"How are you not tired?" Anna asked.
"Because Angels don't get tired." Dean said before realising what he'd just said and hiding behind his hands as he pretended to just rub his face.
"Where's Sam and Gabe?" Cas asked, hiding his blush.
"In bed." Chuck replied simply.
"No. Fair." Samandriel sulked.
"Why? We gotta go in five." Dean frowned.
"They're not going."
"Why?" Adam asked as he sat on a chair beside Samandriel and taking a pancake.
Chuck went silent."Chuck...?" Dean growled.
"Okay. Dont get mad."
Everyone was watching now, some excited to find out what was going on, some scared at the redness on Dean's face.
"Okay...mm...Sam and Gabriel...they ugh..." Chuck stuttered. "Theyre.. suspended." He whispered.
"What?!" Dean yelled , running out the room and up the stairs. He barged into they're room to see the sleeping teenagers jump up in shock.
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!"
"Dean -"
"Why are you suspended?" He yelled, eyeing Sam and then Gabe.
"It was just a prank. We didn't mean to get caught." Sam explained, desperately.
"What prank?!"
"Just a stupid one. On Crowley."
"That stupid glitter one? How did you get suspention over that?"
"Because we also vandalized."
"And skipped." Gabriel added. Sam glared at him.
"What?!"
"Twice."
"Look! You have never acted this way before! What were you thinking?! You put so much into your school life and then you throw it away! A week suspension! That's gonna ruin everything. I thought you wanted to go Stanford? Do you think they're gonna accept you if you have A week suspension?! I get it, it was only once we won't do it again but what is this gonna lead to? Drinking on the streets? Shoplifting?! Coz I'm not gonna be the one to carry you home when you're bladdered!" Dean had gone crazy mad. "What happened?! What happened to you Sam?!"
Gabriel sunk back in guilt. Is it my fault? Did I do this to him.
He noticed the tears on Sam's face.
His brother had never been disappointed in him before.
"Dean. I'm sorry." He whispered.
Dean looked at Gabriel. "He was fine before he met you. He never once got in trouble!"
"Dean leave him alone." Sam muttered but he was unheard.
"You're gonna ruin everything he has worked upto in his life!" Dean yelled.
"Please Dean." Sam cried.
"No Sam!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. "You need to go to Stanford and you can't risk not going! This isn't what mom would have wanted!"
"Well mom isn't here!" Sam roared.
"AND WHOS FAULT IT THAT?!"
The house went silent.
Everyone downstairs stopped talking. Cas, who was stood behind Dean, stepped back. Michael and Lucifer came up from the basement as they heard Deans yell.
Dean realised what he said as he looked at Sam's hurt face and the tears in his eyes.
"Sam, I - "
Sam shoved past him and ran down the stairs.
"Sam?" Michael said as Sam darted past him and out of the door.
Michael went up the stairs to see Dean crying and Cas hugging him with Gabriel still stood in the same position in his room.
"Dean? What happened?" Lucifer asked from behind Michael.
He pulled away and looked at Michael with red eyes full of regret.
"Mickey, I didn't mean to say it. It just came out."
"What did?" Michael stepped forwards.
"I told him it was his fault."
"What was?"
"Mom."
Michael frowned at him. "Dean! You can't say that to him!"
"I'm sorry!"
"Save it!" Michael yelled, frightening them all; Michael never yells. He turned to Gabriel. "Will you find him, Gabriel?"
Gabriel was pulled from his trance and nodded before pulling on his jacket and heading downstairs.
"The rest of us need to go to school. Come on." Michael muttered before walking past Lucifer and down the stairs.
Lucifer looked at Dean, then Cas, give them a reassuring smile, before following Michael.
