Present Day

Reinforced steel doors rumbled open. A hooded figure stepped through them. Standing a foot away from the entrance, it spoke with a robotic voice, "Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to I am sure you all have many questions. They will all be answered shortly. We will take down all who stand in the way!"

Robots covered in titanium armor walked in and guided the new people into the facility.

A man walked up to the hooded figure. His face displayed his concern. "Sir! We've detected some unusual aircraft. It is not a usual plane passing by, it is heading straight from here. It seems to have a boy on it called Helix."

Helix didn't stand a chance.

Helix steered the plane towards the ground. His blue eyes looked around the ground, trying to find a landing point. The forest around his target was making it difficult to land. The longer he waited, the more likely they were to detect him. Of course, they already had, but Helix didn't know that.

Finally finding a landing point, he lowered the plane completely. He took of his helmet and once again found himself thinking of how he had ended up here. He had no memories of his past aside from the academy, and his younger sister, Adenine.

He caught sight of his own hair, all messed up from the flight. He pushed it down and sighed.

"Time to get to work!" he said cracking his knuckles. He ran towards the building, only to be engulfed by guards. He felt a sedative run through his veins. How could he have failed his first mission? As the world slowly faded, one thought circled his mind over and over again. Adenine. Where is Adenine?

Helix hazily sat up. He was in a dimly lit room, chained to a chair.

The door opened so silently that even Helix didn't notice. "Ah, our patient is awake! Have a seat," the man said with a laugh.

"I do not find that amusing," replied Helix, "Who are you?"

"Good question. I am Gildias, a specialized martial arts instructor and an unknown genius. Welcome to your new home. You can get comfortable but first a few questions. First, how old are you?"

Helix thought of lying but then again, what would use would that be? "Seventeen," he said cautiously.

"And your sister?"

"What sister? I don't have any sister!" His pulse escalated. How did this 'Gildias' know so much about him? He was getting wary.

"Of course you have a sister! Don't lie to me, I always know."

Helix yet again thought of his sister. So sweet, so ignorant. He wondered if she had been taken to the academy. 15 years old by now, probably.

The talks came everyday.

After a year had passed, Helix could no longer stand it.

"So Helix," Gildias said, "How are things going?"

"You already know the answer to that question. Why ask me?"

"Because, silly boy, the answer could have changed."

"Let... Me... Go!"

"Very well then, if you say so," Gildias said. The cuffs around Helix's wrists snapped open. Helix rubbed his wrists. He had not expected it to be this simple. Gildias left the room saying, "All you need to do is get past the guards. Oh yes! By the way, they kill without hesitation! By the time the guards are finished with you, you won't be so cocky with me!" Guards? There were guards?

As soon as he left the room, a few dozen guards stepped in to the room. As Gildias' footsteps faded away, the robot guards started to advance. Robots. Oh joy! So this was why they would kill without hesitation. Completely programmed, no hesitation to follow commands.

Helix reached into the compartment he had hollowed out into his shoe, good thing that Gildias didn't check it or else he wouldn't have his laser gun that he stored in it. He couldn't do anything wrong, he wouldn't get another chance. "It's now or never." He aimed it at a robot and a red blast came out.

As it hit the guard, the laser went clean through its head. He continued the procedure until they were close enough to attack him. They had electrical batons and bulletproof shields.

Helix was so focused on blasting the guards that he didn't notice how many more guards had came in. In a blur he grabbed a guard's baton and beat it's armour.

They were soon all pieces of trash scattered, some pieces still smoking or glowing. Helix leapt over the remains and ran out into the hallway.

"Impossible!" Gildias said, "How did he do it? Track him down! Send as many guards as possible. We can't lose him now. He can beat the guards now, but not forever!"

It had been years since the plan had began. It was finally going to be true!  "Are we ready? The hooded figure asked.

"Yes sir!"

"Good, ready up the jets!"

"Jets are ready sir!" a technician yelled. Robot guards walked fluidly into the jets and then stood still. Their movements were fluid and not like a robot's.

The hooded figure walked in the plane and took its seat. Within a few hours, the jets were all airborne. "How long till we reach our destination?"

"At least five hours sir."

"Fine!"

Helix raced through the hallways. He was tiring and he could hear the robots footsteps getting closer. He sliced the first guard in half then ran around it he soon burst into a room with eight other passages. The passages suddenly filled with guards. He was trapped. The guards slowly advanced.

"Sir! We're here!"

"Good!" said the hooded figure. It unsheathed two pitch black, obsidian daggers and jumped off the jet, spinning through the air and landed gracefully in a crouch. Robots were already soaring in the air in front of it.
