Chapter 8: Bad idea

Jessica's POV

"Uhm guys? Dare or dare is a really bad idea." I reasoned.

Everyone started saying "wimp", "sissy", "spoil sport". Really? They'll be the ones regretting it. Psh.

"Okay okay. Calm your tits. Dare or dare it shall be then." I sighed in defeat.

Caleb said to me," Okay, your turn was the previous one so, Anthea, give her a dare."

Anthea breezily said," Take an ugly selfie and post it on Instagram. And by ugly, I mean really really unglam."

Was she kidding? Take an ugly selfie and show it to my 100,000+ followers? Hell no! Hm... maybe I can do the dare without cheating but still let no one see it.

I smirked and said," Okay. I can do mine now. It doesn't take as long as Chris' dare."

Heads nodded in agreement.

I took out my phone and took the ugliest selfie of all time. Then, I created another Instagram acount usingn one of my emails that I have not used for a really long time. I posted it and showed it to everyone as proof.

"Woah woah woah. Why do you have ZERO followers?" Erin's eyes narrowed at me.

Dayum. That sharp-eye girl.

I smiled triumphantly and said," Because Anthea didn't specify which account I had to use."

"Screw! I should have thought of that!" Anthea scowled.

"Too late! I choose Avelyn. How about you wear your a crop top with tights and thongs over the tights. That's not all. You have to buy something from a convenience store. " I said.

"Psh fine. Next... hm... I choose Chris. I dare you to kiss me. On the lips." Avelyn said.

You go girl! That was so damn straight forward.

Chris blushed and mumbled," Could we do it in... um... another room? It's kinda awkward to do it here."

"Sure!" Avelyn grabbed him by his arm and dragged him out.

Almost right after they left, Boris came in with a tray of snacks and drinks. I jumped up and grab the Haribo. Yum!

"Missy, what was that young lady doing. Dragging the young man by his arm and all." Boris cocked his head.

I waved him off and said, " Just a little dare."

Avelyn's POV

I can't believe what I just did. I found the courage to actually dare Chris to kiss me.

I pulled him into a random room.

He said," Okay, this is kinda weird. Do you lean in first? Or do I? Or would you like to talk about something to remove this awkward tension first-"

I cut him off and dived right in to kiss him. His plump, soft lips met mine. Mmm... heaven on earth.It tasted of mint. 

I was really enjoying the moment until he gently put his palms on my shoulders and pushed me away. 

"I think I've already done the dare far more than required to... so... yea..." he said and left the room.

I nodded and looked down in embarrassment. What did I just do? Aaargh! All was going well. Sigh...

And yes, I know that he likes Anthea. It's pretty obvious. But, just a gentle reminder to y'all, I'm not a slut. Anthea and Chris aren't together so yeah.

I hunched and trudged back to Jessica's room. First my mum dies, next, I get rejected. What's next? I get dumped by my son of a cunt boyfriend? And yes, I have a boyfriend. And no, I'm not cheating on him.

We aren't exactly dating. He know doesn't like me and I never expect him to. He's just using me. You see, my parents have lots of beer, wine and liquor at home so I smuggle some for him. But it's fine for me because I'm usinbg him in my own little way too. He's apparently the Mr Popularity for my batch so some of his popularity rubs onto me.

You might think having a popular brother makes me popular as well. Sadly, no. In fact, if it wasn't for my 'boyfriend' Kenzo, weird name I know, I would have been constantly bullied.

When I entered the room, Chris, Tim, Anthea and Erin were all preparing to leave. Caleb was walking back to his room. And Jessica was about to send them off. I walked back to my own room.

Sigh.

What is life? To me, it's a thing I could really do without.
