Chapter 7: Dare or Dare

A/N Hey guys! I know I suck at updating but forgive me. My school is putting up a big musical and so I'm kinda busy. It's this Saturday. If you were thinking that I'd be able to update more after that, you're wrong. I have my mid-year exam after that. Sigh... Life sucks. 

This chapter will be dedicated to my friend @littlemissparisv. The character Avelyn, Caleb's sister, is based off her. I know her in real life btw.

And no, the title is not a typo. Onward with the story!

Jessica's POV

I ran down stairs to get my new iPhone 5s and rang Erin and Anthea.

***Conversation with Erin***

Me: Come over to my house ASAP. We're playing truth or dare with Caleb and his pals.

Erin: Is... is he coming?

Me: Yes. Hurry!

***Conversation Ends***

In case you're wondering who 'he' is - which I'm sure most of you are- it is...

Um wait. You do know that this is a secret right? This is ust between you, me and Erin okay? Not even Anthea knows. 

Here goes...

*inhales deeply*

ErinlikesTimakaCaleb'sbestpal.

You didn't catch that? Oops sorry! I'll slow down.

Erin. Likes. Tim. Aka. Caleb's. Best. Pal.

Yep. The truth is out.

Anyway, I proceeded to call Anthea.

***Conversation with Anthea***

Me: Girlie, dress your best and be over at my house as soon as you can.

Anthea: Chill the fudge out! What's the rush anyway?

Me: Chris will be there. Now move! Chop chop! Don't keep Chris waiting!

***Conversation Ends***

Heheh. Yes. Anthea likes Chris. BUT TELL NO ONE. Anthea takes karate just for your information.

Just 10 minutes later I heard my doorbell ring. I opened the door to see a VERY different Erin standing there.

She was wearing a short floral skirt and a purple top. And woah. Was she wearing make up? And she even wore contact lenses instead of her usual spectacles. I eyed her from top to bottom and I realised something even more different than usual. She was not wearing her trademark red Converse. Instead, on her feet is a pair of beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo flats. Wheeeeeew.

"What on earth did you do to Erin?!" I asked in disbelieve.

She blushed and said,"Do I look... ok?"

I rolled my eyes and said," Goddamnit. You look great! If you dressed up everyday like that, you'll eventually be stealing all my boys!"

I ran my finger through her hair - that was let down instead of theusual ponytail - and she swatted my hand away witha frown.

"Don't mess my hair up thank you very much," she said.

I smirked. Finally. My friend was starting to act like a girl.

Just as I was about to close the door, Anthea walked into the open gate coolly. But even the blind can tell that she was nervous. The air of confidence constantly surrounding her was gone.

Wow. Anthea was actually nervous about a guy. That's a first. 

"Thea!" Erin and I said at the same time.

She only smiled as a response.

She was well dressed, as usual. She was wearing a green halter-back which flowed beautifully to her knees. She was wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin that Erin got her last Christmas. Her hair cascaded down her back just enough to cover 3/4 of her back. She was wearing a studded wristband. 

I walked with them up to my room and Caleb was sitting there looking out of the window.

"Are your friends coming?" I asked.

"Yep, they're on their way." he replied.

"Okay, let's start." I said, "Um, how about Erin start first?" 

"Wha... what? Me?" Erin was caught by surprise.

Chris smirked and said," Duh. Are there any other Erin-s in this room?"

Tim elbowed him and sent Erin an apologetic smile.

Erin said," I choose Chris? Truth or dare?"

Chris said confidently," Dare."

Erin smirked evilly and said, "I dare you to... to... run an entire round in the neighbourhood and scream 'I have no dicks' "

This time, it was Chris that was caught with surprise.

"Come on Erin! Don't be so mean." Chris pouted.

"Nope. A dare's a dare." 

Chris sighed in defeat.

He said," So it's my turn now. Anthea? Truth or dare?"

Anthea blushed and mumbled,"Truth."

Tim laughed and said," Wimp!"

Chris glared at Tim.

Chris asked," Do you like anyone?"

Anthea stuttered,"Yea..."

"Who is it?" Chris asked with anticipation.

Avelyn, who looked a little pissed, said," This is 'truth-or-dare', not 'truths-or-dare'. Next!"

Anthea said," Okay, I choose Jessica."

Hey! I thought I was your friend!

"Truth thankyouverymuch." I said.

Caleb interrupted and said,"Why is everyone being wimps? Let's hype this up a little, shall we? Let's play, Dare-or-dare."

Everyone but me nodded.

Shit is going down.
