Chapter 23: Caught

A/N aye my mum is not allowing me to use the computer unless I packs my room. No thanks. So I'm updating this on my phone.

Jessica's POV

The house was packed by 8.30.

People were scattered in my house in their usual cliques.

The "nerds" and "geeks" were huddled together at the entrance of my house; each holding a cup of plain water.

I personally didn't like plain water, so in my cup was some tequila mixed with raspberry punch.

The music boomed in the living hall and almost everyone was dancing along.

There were couples groping and grinding on the dance floor. And then there were girls humping guys with their asses.

Katherine and Audrey sat at one end of the sofa, right beside the chocolate fondue fountain, hunching over their MacBook Air.

Most probably updating their blog about this party.

Are about 9 o'clock, Caleb came downstairs. At first, I thought he was going to join us.

But then he headed out of the house and turned right.

So I figured that he was going to the park for a walk or something.

Almost immediately after Caleb left, Adrian arrived.

I rushed out and gave him a tight hug.

He gave me a peck on the cheek and said,"Hey how are you doing? Sorry I came so late. I had some... uh... matters to attend to."

"No problem! What matters is that you're here now right?" I responded.

He grinned and nodded.

I dragged him into my house and got him a drink.

He gently pushed my hand away and said,"Thanks but I don't drink."

"Oh, you want some water then?" I offered.

"Sure!"

He followed me to the kitchen for some iced water.

As I handed him his cup, I heard a loud voice boom from the living hall.

"WHAT IS THIS?!"

Oh.

My.

God.

I can recognise that voice anywhere. This is not good. Not good at all.

Adrian cocked an eyebrow at me. I don't even need telepathy to know what he is thinking.

I gave him a look that said I will explain later. I motioned for him to go up to my room and stay there.

I walked hurriedly to the living hall and saw my parents standing there, surrounded by luggages. And drunk teenagers.

"OUT! EVERYONE! OUT NOW!" my dad boomed.

Everybody scurried out of the house like mice.

In no time, only me, my dad and my mum were left in the living hall.

My dad started to speak,"What is this?! We trusted you. And look what came out of it. I'm going to get the maids to clean this up. But you're helping too.

You better pray that they don't find any weed or drug of any kind. If they do, you are in deep trouble.

How can you put yourself in such danger? Any drunk personal could have raped- " 

I cut him off,"Dad! They are my schoolmates! They wouldn't do such a thing!"

"Oh love, you wouldn't know that. All the rapist in the world has been schoolmates with people too." my mum interrupted.

My dad said,"Jess, we expected you to- "

"You expected me to be an angel. A perfect girl which I am not. That's why I have to hide. Hide what I do. Hide who I truly am." I cried.

I could feel the mascara run down my cheek with my tears.

I rushed up the stairs, went back to my room and into Adrian's arms.
