A fimiliar voice smeered my memory but I felt a strange uneasiness arise.

"Silly me I seemed to have misplaced your majestie's, Jewel." A soft-spoken girl cooed outside the room. "Thank you, kind sir, I will not belong." The sweet dark-haired girl came in but waited a moment and then she approached me.

"I see you found me, any new news?"

"No, but Code has decided to stick around until our mission is successful," Tali said in her normal bored voice. "For a smart and powerful child, he is quite stupid."

I chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I mean what kid his age wants to go on a thrilling, life-changing event?"

"I know right! This child is something else." She said dismissing my sarcasm but I doubt she even knows what it is... "But that is not why I am here. There was an increase of magic and I know you know who the cause is, I told you to be careful and that the future depends on your survival, so please stop putting yourself at risk."

How the hell she knew was a mystery to me. "You don't have to worry the Mage is on our side."

"No, he is not."    

"How... " I my thoughts derailed as the pain in my chest resurfaced. I swallowed the pain not wanting Tali to notice or to worry. "Never mind that, just focus on the mission on hand, oh and becarefull okay." I said smiling weakly.

She nodded, she saw my pain but chose to ignore it. She left without any complaints.

I watched her leave and slumped against the wall. My breath caught and my vision blurred.

After my body decided to comply to mý will. I left to scout the area. Little did I know something inside changed, failed...
