Where is she - chapter 25

                  I'm at the hospital now. It all happens in a daze. After V fell over I ran to her, then the ambulances came through the woods. Their were two ambulances and threes cop cars and then the helicopter above us. The EMT's put something over V's mouth to help her breath, and loaded her into the ambulance. Then then I had to sit in the ambulance with her and ride to the hospital.
                   As soon as we got to the hospital they rushed her into an operating room. Then they took me to a room and stitched my head together. Then the cops asked me questions about how I got their, what happened, etc. Then I sat in a chair for a while, I'm in a hospital 30 minuets away from my house.
                    Pretty soon my dad and brothers walk into the room I'm in. Then my dad embraces me in a hug. Then my brothers hug me. My dad tells me he's happy I'm safe and how sorry he is he didn't believe me. The doctor talks to my dad about me. Then he tells me that V got very sick and stopped breathing. She'll have to spend a few weeks in the hospital but she should be fine. He also says that I she's lucky I found her in time.
                After the doctor walks out I hear talking in the room beside me, it's V's parents. Their talking about what to do with V. They say that she was supposed to be dead. And how every one will think she's crazy. They also say they'll put her up for adoption and move away.
             I look at my dad to make sure that he heard what I heard. But he's walking out the door so I follow. He walks into V's parents room.
              "You did this! You wanted V dead! You wanted to get rid of her! Now she's barely alive and my daughter is traumatized! I SHOULD GO TO THE POLICE! Why would you do this?!?" My dad asked.
               "Veronica was different from the rest of the family. We had to do something. And when I found out I was pregnant, I didn't want V to make the baby like her." She responds as if it's normal.
            "That is horrible. But I won't go to the police. If you give us full rights to V I will adopt her and you and your husband go away. FAR AWAY!" My dad shouts.
                 That was that. They pulled out the adaptation papers I guess they were planning on giving her up as soon as possible. Then they left as promised. Then the doctors asked where V's family was.
               "Right here." I said handing him the papers. We had to talk to the police about it, but it was final V was a part of the family legally. Then we walked to the ICU to tell V.
