Leaving the Airship, most of the group's eyes were still on the impressive tree. Sasha made sure to cube the ship again, placing it in her bag before setting off towards their destination.
The roots were thick and strong, allowing them to walk on them without much hassle, though they were decently thin and required their concentration. Sasha made sure to walk in front with Emma and Hope, Zack with Takumi in the back, making sure neither of them got any funny ideas. There were yellow flowers spouting up everywhere, huge formations of vegetation taking over the land. Below was a vast canyon as far as the eye could see. It was a large amount of walking, nobody said a word on their trek.
When finally they had reached almost the base of the tree, Sasha looked forward, now that she wasn't afraid of falling off, and saw a person leaning on the trunk, near what seemed to be the entrance of the Iifa Tree. He seemed calm, as if just relaxing where he was, hardly a care in the world. And in such a strange place, too. Beside him was a massive sword, bigger than any weapon Sasha ever imagined being wielded. What she noticed first, though, before any of that, was his outfit. The same as Zack's. And in that moment, she recalled what the boy had to say about his two friends.
"Wait, isn't that..." Before the words even left her lips, she almost lost her balance, as she felt someone run right past her.
While Zack was running, he had a large grin on his face, his arm was up high, waving, "Angeal!" He called, feeling instantly giddy upon seeing his friend again.
The man glanced up at the familiarity of the energetic sound of his name. There was only one person who ever called his name like that. And it was only confirmed when he saw that younger man racing up to him, his non-existent tail practically ecstatic in the midst of reaching him. He warmly grinned. Angeal ruffled the younger SOLDIER's hair a bit. "Your tail is wagging... Heel, boy."
"Nooo..." Zack whined, slumping almost immediately, "Why do you gotta treat me like some kinda puppy?" he pouted, crossing his arms. "I'm a First Class SOLDIER now, not a hyperactive puppyyy...!" He tried pushing the older man's hands away, though trying to not let him show his smirk, still ecstatic at seeing him again.
"So this is the big guy you were talking about before?" Takumi asked.
Then he looked to the group. "...I see you fell in line with a new group." Angeal joked. "Good. I was hoping that you'd be fine while you were off your leash. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, I'm Angeal Hewley. I hope that Zack hasn't caused you much trouble."
"Oh, right!" Zack grinned, turning to Takumi, then the others that were approaching. "Angeal, these guys are great, wait until you get to know them! There's Takumi, the feisty one, Sasha, the one who'll be the death of us all, Emma, the accident waiting to happen..." He laughed. He went in a circle, naming off the different people that he's met in his journey. "There's Garnet, or as some call her, Dagger, the Queen, Eiko, the Princess, Zidane, the only other man interaction I've had before now, Lulu, the Black Mage, Rikku, the girl who may or may not be addicted to Hypers, Hope, the newcomer small boy, and, uh... That's everyone!" He grinned, talking fast, "And, they're all from a total of four different Worlds, counting the one we're on now!" He said, his excitement uncontained.
"Hey, I am NOT feisty!" Takumi snapped. "I am ABRASIVE!"
"I see." Angeal brought his hand to his mouth, suppressing a grin for a moment. Then he once again scanned his eyes over the group. "Different worlds, you say?"
"Yep! We all come from different worlds." Rikku beamed. "Kinda works out for us all, Zack said he was looking for you, and now he's found you!"
"Hey, I'm not trying to get anyone killed!" Sasha grinned, "I navigated to a whole new World, and flew the ocean, and we're all here in one piece, aren't we?" She laughed, hitting Zack on the back of his head.
