Chapter 16

               In a matter of about an hour, the ship was nearing the small isolated town. They landed, cubed the ship, and glanced around.

"...Well, one thing is for sure." Takumi began. "It DEFINITELY has that Dali feel."

"Let's look around!" Rikku beamed before running ahead.

"W-Wait, RIKKU, unfamiliar town!" Takumi whined before running after her a bit.

"So, what would even be a good place to train?" Cloud asked Zack. "You've been here on missions before, right?"

"Yeah," Zack shrugged, "Just outside of town, open fields as far as the eye can see, excellent for being reckless."

"Sounds fun." Sasha shrugged, "How long are we staying?"

"Hmm... Three or four hours, maybe?" Zack shrugged.

"Hmm... Well, since magic is a mental learning, and I've already done as much as I can physically at how much I know, I think I'll concentrate my efforts on looking around town..."

"I believe that I will join you." Angeal said to Sasha. "I... want to speak with you anyways."

"Ooh, I smell antics~" Yuffie smirked.

"Oh, uh... Okay." Sasha smiled gratefully, "It'll be nice having someone with me... But won't that cut into your training time?"

"No. Not at all." Angeal replied, chuckling a bit. Cloud playfully rolled his eyes.

"Geez, adults are weird." Yuffie crossed her arms.

"You'll get it one day, kid." Eiko replied, patting her arm, "You're just too young to understand."

"I'm older than YOU!"

"I think you're confused."

"No, YOU are!"

"Anyway..." Sasha sighed as the two went back and forth. "Let's get going, I suppose." She looked to Angeal, before starting off into town.

Then Rikku trekked over to Cloud, grabbing his arm, pulling him along. "W-Whoa, Rikku, what are you doing?"

"You're training with me, Chocobo head!"

"Choco-" Cloud only sighed. He may as well have gotten used to this joke.

"You wanna train now, or later?" Zack asked Takumi, his voice casual as he watched Emma and Lightning walk off towards the fields.

Takumi looked up at Zack, grinning a bit. "I'm anxious, let's do it NOW!"

"Alright, we're on the same wavelength!" Zack laughed, grabbing the hilt of his sword, "Let's do this, then!" He stated happily, walking a few yards away from the rest of the group while they decided what they would do.

He saw Dagger and Lulu start to walk into town, while it seemed odd enough that Hope and Eiko teamed up to train in the distance, his boomerang against her Eidolons.

Angeal's gaze darted up towards a large, almost warehouse-like building off in the distance, just outside of Kalm. He wondered what that particularly place had been for—it wasn't like Kalm was good for much manufacturing. Then he looked over to Sasha.

"Has everything been all right?"

Sasha remained silent for a few seconds, thinking everything through. Her mind had been bursting with thoughts, but was everything okay regardless?

"I... think so..." She started, "Just been really conflicted lately, I suppose..."

"...Do you want to talk about it?"
