It was right before dawn when Takumi awoke again, carefully getting up to keep from waking Zack, stumbling a bit as she was making her way to the window and gazing up at the moon. She sighed heavily, resting her head against the windowsill, her arms and legs shaking a bit as she maintained a grip. The incident that had taken place just hours before had already done a number on her.

"What did I get myself into...?" Then she slightly looked back at Zack, who remained asleep, his hand twitching slightly. He was either dreaming or subconsciously wanting her to come back to bed. She sat down right below the window, rubbing her stomach. "...You are getting really strong very quickly, Kaji... I hope... you'll take it easy on your dad once you're here..."

She still didn't know if she'd even be able to survive this pregnancy. Her body was already beginning to fail her miserably, and she didn't know how much longer she could keep up the act of being fine when she wasn't getting attacked by Kaji. She knew that he wasn't to blame for what was occurring. It's not like he really knew what he was while in the womb, and even if he had... she was positive after what Eiko had explained to her, that he wasn't malicious.

He was just like any other baby would have been... Caring, nurturing, wanting love, naive... only with a burning edge. She was more terrified at this point of something happening to him rather than the possibility that she would die just to ensure his life.

And it would all be occurring on this final day. Today, the villains would be pursuing them, and the prophecy would have to be upheld. No one knew what the end result would be... but they were all confident that things would work in their favor. Now Takumi wasn't sure about herself given her own health slowly beginning to deteriorate, and she feared worrying Zack or anyone else. How long would it have been before she was unable to even move on her own, before all of her nerves crashed from the boiling heat in her system?

She let out a few deep breaths. "It's so hot..."

At least half an hour had gone by before Takumi ended up deciding to go and take a lukewarm shower, thinking that the water would do her some good. She moved quickly in the shower, and then lightly ran her fingers through her dripping wet hair. The dull steam from the shower lingering afterwards only made her light-headed, and her legs trembled.

Everything around her was beginning to go black. She almost fainted, and would have done so had she not taken a grip to the sink, panting heavily.

Feeling the pressure welling in her system, she immediately turned her head to the toilet, coughing several times while trying to keep quiet about it. Her eyes widened a bit when she brushed her bangs aside and noticed the blood in the clear water.

The sight literally made her vomit in response, more blood pouring out. She breathed out once she had finished, wide eyed as she gazed at the still closed door, hand to her forehead.

"No... I'm... dying... aren't I...?"

Sasha slowly stirred, wrapping her arms around herself as she awoke, pulling her legs up closer to herself. Her eyes opened gently, seeing that Angeal had already left. She sighed heavily, knowing it was probably for the best. It would be harder for her if she had woken up to find him still there.

She rolled over and just clutched the blankets closer to her. She laid like that for a few minutes, thoughts of last night lingering on her mind. She wasn't sure what was more painful. Thoughts of what she felt last night... or thoughts of later today.

Finally, she stood up out of bed, and started out of the room, glancing around at the empty hallway. She made her way back to the first room she was in, grabbed her bag that she brought in from the airship. She looked through her clothes, at least feeling better that now she had more choice of what to wear. She quickly picked out a comfortable t-shirt, and jeans, and slung the bag over her shoulder onto her back, to take it back to the airship when they were ready to leave. She took a deep breath, not wanting to leave the room, but knowing she had to.
