I woke up earlier than George did, and I decided to make him breakfast as a thank you. When he woke up, I had made bacon, and I was in the midst of making pancakes when I dropped the batter all over the floor. George stood in the doorway and shook his head.
"It's too early for this," he said, and startled me,
"I'm so sorry, I'll clean it up, George," I said, and turned to get a dishrag. Suddenly, he splashed water on me from behind.
"George! That's it! It's on, mister!" I yelled, and threw some flour on him. He made a face of shock, and then took the squirt hose from the sink and turned it on me. I got completely drenched, and I shrieked. I ran away and into his bedroom, and he followed close behind. I fell on my back onto the bed and he came in and I laughed hysterically. Suddenly my laughing was stopped when he laid on top of me and kissed me. I kissed him back eagerly. I wanted so bad to be able to stay there forever, but he suddenly pulled back and got off of me. He began to take off my shirt, and I breathed heavily. He threw it across the room and began to kiss me again. He was beginning to unclasp my bra when someone knocked on the door.
"They'll come back later," he said, but I shook my head.
"It's okay, go get it. I'll clean up the kitchen. I put my shirt back on and cleaned the kitchen while George seemed to have a heated discussion with someone at the door. I couldn't hear anything, but muffled yelling. Then I heard the door slam.
"George, who was it?" I asked, and began wiping the flour off of the ground with a broom.
"No one," he snapped, and I just kept my head down and finished cleaning the kitchen. I then hopped into the shower and when I got out, I saw that George left my freshly cleaned dress on the bed, and I smiled. I knew he was in a bad mood, but he still cared.
"Here, go buy some clothes," George said when I walked out, handing me a bundle of money. I hesitantly took it from his outstretched hand.
"George, I couldn't," I began, but he just smiled at me.
"I'm going to get tired of seeing you in that dress everyday, doll. It's really no problem," he said, so I guiltily took it and left.
That was so strange. One moment he was livid, and the next, good ol' Georgie.I went to a shop not too far down the road and picked out some nice dresses and shoes. When I returned back to George's, I walked in and they were voices. A man was there talking to George. It sounded roughly like the man from the argument at the door earlier.
I walked in, and when George saw me his face softened. He looked like he was in a very heated argument, and I just stood there awkwardly. The man he was talking with then turned to see what George was gazing at, and found me.
"Oh hello, I'm Rose," I said nervously, and he chuckled.
"George, she's very pretty. Is she your girl?" The man asked, and I blushed.
"It doesn't matter," George said, raising his voice, and I felt as if I'd been dismissed. I went into my room to try on the new dresses I had bought. I was dancing around in one when I noticed George was smiling at the entryway to my room.
"George Harrison! How long have you been standing there?" I asked madly.
"About two minutes. Will you dance with me, Rose?" He asked lovingly, and I nodded. I went to the drawer of records and pulled out one of my favorites. I put it on and dropped the needle.
Suddenly, my song began to play, and George swept me around the room.
"I'll be seeing you in all the old, familiar places that this heart of mine embraces, all day through..." we danced throughout the entire song, and when it ended, we just kept dancing. That was the first time I told George Harrison that I loved him.And that's the first of many times he's said it back.
