The next day at school was surprisingly slow, it was raining outside for hours so everyone was gloomy, the teacher didn't smile as much that day, and no one spoke most of first period.
Lunch had come, and since I don't really have any friends here, I decided to sit outside and get some air. I scanned the lunch room, students filled seats in swarms. Must be some 'social butterflies' as others call it.
Lunch wasn't really that great today, but I didn't care about the food, I only ate so the teachers wouldn't complain. Walking outside with a tray in hand, I found a small grassy hill on the side of the school. New flowers were growing, and the sunlight barely hit the giant oak tree that rested on the hill.
I smiled and sat down against the tree, feeling the breeze pass by, it was a wonderful feeling to feel fresh air surround you, it was one of the only things that helped me relax back at home. I decided to pay attention to the food rather than enjoy scenery, and ate my lunch with no hesitation. Surprisingly, I was pretty hungry today, despite my last minute attempt to steal the teachers breakfast, and succeeding.
The sky grayed as time went on, and the droplets fell, the rain splashed onto my face, refreshing my scarred skin. The wind picked up, and my tray took flight, flipping over and soaring out of my hands.
"Shit!!" I yelled as I reached for my tray, stumbling forward to catch it. Suddenly, a hand came from the side, snatching the tray from the air. I realized that the anonymous hand was tord, coming from around the corner. He smiled, and tucked his free arm into his hoodie pocket. He was wearing purple eye glitter for some reason.
Weird ass
His hair was covered with glitter, with a red flower crown resting on his head. His nails were painted blood red and black, and black bangles hung around his arms.
"Hey Thomas..." he said very excited, his smile brightened my day, yet I rarely see it.
"D-did you get my l-letter?" He asked nervously. His eyes shown signs of anxiousness, and his body language showed fear. I sighed and stood up from my spot. I rested my hands on his shoulders.
"Yes....yes I did" I said in a humorous tone. I tried to sound funny, like I was being bombarded with that same question. I wasn't of course, I just wanted him to think that. To make him laugh.
I succeeded of course, he giggled in the cutest way possible, his mouth covered by his hand. His smile was the light of my life, I would hate to lose it."Soo....um...you mind coming to my dorm later?" I asked cautiously. I felt my knees shake, I wanted to be calm and just ask him with a straight face, no hesitation, But I couldn't help being nervous. I really liked this kid. Fuck my life this is difficult!!.
"W-well, I d-don't really have a lot of homework today so..." he spoke, his eyes widened in surprise and excitement.
"Y-yeah I geuss I can!!" he chirped, his arms wrapping around me into a small hug. He let go and ran back into the school, giving me a small wave.I smiled and sat back down agains the wall, thinking about tord, how much me ment to me, and how much I cared. I wanted to give him everything, show him the world, see his smile everyday, but sadly I couldn't do that......yet. I stood up, abandoning my lunch and sprinted into the school down the now crowded hallways. I soon found him at his locker, taking everything out for the day, I ran towards him and grabbed him, and pinned him to the locker. His eyes widened in shock.
*pants* "Get here around..." *Pants* "Seven..."
He quickly knodded, and scurried off, trying desparetly to hide his laughter. I smiled, grabbed my things, and ran back out the school straight into downtown.
I sprinted down the street, passing unsuspecting cars that were stuck in the late afternoon traffic. I ran past lakes and ponds, stores and shopping malls, until I managed to get to the dorm. I kept running up the stairs and into my room, slamming the door behind me. I quickly threw my stuff down, and grabbed my phone off the desk in the corner.
I had some big news to tell my mother....
