Little Tomo had woken up before me, so it didn't surprise me to see a little baby bean sitting on the floor playing with my gun..
Wait...playing with my gun....SHIT!!
I ran over and smacked the gun out of his little hands, he fell back in surprise, and began to cry, I felt bad, but what was there to do?
I picked him up and brought him to the couch, turning on the tv and watching him be sucked into the cartoons displayed on the small screen.I sighed and stumbled into the kitchen to make some coffee. I found one of the tins and dropped it into the machine slot, pressing the button once the light was green. It took a minute before the machine started to pour thick coffee into the small white mug with a picture of Susan on it.....typical...
I grabbed my coffee and went and sat down next to Thomas. He was still mesmerized by the little crudely drawn cartoons. His eyes were big and wide, like tires as he stared at the tv. I had taken his pacifier out last night from fear he might choke on it, so I wasn't surprises when he noticed that the familiar rubber sucker was gone.
He bursted into tears, slamming his fists into the ground. He screamed and wailed until I finally picked him up and shoved the pacifier into his mouth. He calmed shortly after and soon fell asleep in my arms again.
"Jesus is this really how hard it is to take care of a kid?"
I soon admitted defeat, and retreated back to the couch. I faded into dreamland again, remembering the past events of this week, this month, hell even earlier this year.. it was nice to in take all of the pain and suffering I endured to others. I was snapped out of my trance by a knock at the door. Groaning, I stumbled to the door, gripping the handle to turn it when I heard an oh so faint voice that sounded all to familiar.
"Hey Tom! Just wanted to stop by see how you're doing!........Tom?....."
That's sounds like Edd....
"What's going on?.....Tom?!"
The doorknob began to violently shake and squirm as I tried to hold it still. I had forgotten the door was locked so all I could do was hold on for dear life. After a while he finally left, hearing footsteps running down the hallway. I sighed and walked back over to Tomo who was now sitting on the floor crying. I scooped him up and ran to the kitchen to feed him....
I don't know what you feed babies these days, but I know it's not bacon and eggs....he screamed violently and began to throw the bacon everywhere, having juice and bacon Greece fly and stick to the walls...
"Why?!?!, why won't you eat?!" I screamed at the toddler....he seemed to be calm enough to casually walk past without awakening the dragon. So I did just that, I calmly walked past him, his sockets staring back at me. It seemed to work, he was silent....
I stopped at the door way, sliding down the wall. I tilted my head to face Tomo, buried into a layer of applesauce...
I smiled and payed my head back...
Guess I'll be your babysitter today Thomas...
