I didn't sleep that night, or the other nights that followed it. Tord wasn't at school during those days, and free periods became that of loneliness. I was never really anywhere but roaming the halls every free period, but today was different. I was in history, first period of the day, sunlight poured through the open window onto my desk, shining in my non existent eyes.{hehe 😁}

I slept carefully on top of my textbooks, arms crossed and my head resting on them. I was enjoying my dreams, they were about Tord mostly, how beautiful he was with that glitter in his hair, his bright silver eyes shown through any darkness.

I was startled awake by the bell, and people scurried into the hallway. I thought about him again, everything about him was flawless, and I couldn't bear not seeing him everyday.

Fuck that......

I dropped my books and rushed through the crowds, pushing people away from the entrance of the school. I rushed out the doors and ran down the street towards downtown. Luckily, he had given me his address in case I wanted to talk.

I finally made it to his home, it was small, but was a soothing shade of red.
I walked up to the door and gently knocked, trying not to draw attention to myself. I waited a minute before the door opened slightly, revealing a small chain connecting the door with the wall. I saw those familiar silver eyes peering out at me from behind the door. He looked at me for a second before shutting the door and unlocking the chain. The door swung open and he tackled me to the ground, wrapping his arms around my neck. I could hear his muffled  sobs.

"Thomas!!...I'm SO sorry for my leaving you!! I was busy and I-i didn't know what to tell you-I just...sorry" he said letting go of my neck."

Tears were forming in the corner of his eyes, and his hair was drooping.

Honestly he looked horrible.....his hair was very undone and messy, his face was paler then paper, he had large dark bags under his eyes and his his hoodie was stretched all the way to his palms.

I stared at his appearance for a minute. Wondering if he had even seen daylight  in..well days.

"Tord..what the hell happened to you?!" I asked grabbing his shoulders. He stared at me with wide eyes before looking towards the ground and sighing.

"Earlier this year, I was called on to do something that my family has been involved with for generations..." he continued as I stared at him in awe.

The hell is he talking about?

"I am the next step to completing my family's work, so once I was called, I HAD to go...I had no choice..."

I looked at him in confusion

"So then.....why'd you come to my house then?" I asked in confusion

"I wanted to see you!..you're wonderful....plus I love your music, you surprise me everyday..." he spoke with joy in his words.

I heard muffled whispers in the background, and apparently tord heard them too. He froze and whipped around, his eyes focusing on whatever he saw or heard. He turned around to face me again, his eyes now serious...
He stood up and motioned me to the door.

"Come....there's something I need you to see" he said in a surprisingly serious tone"

I nodded and followed him inside the I looked behind me to see him shut the door...Engulfing us in darkness....
