A week past, nothing really eventful happened. Tord walked past me every now and then and he mostly just smiled and waved, I saw him and abruptly smiled back. I would occasionally meet him by his locker and we would talk and talk about the most random shit ever but we didn't care, it was nice to have somebody's company. I was still trying to control this thing that I had inside me, I didn't know what it was or what it meant, but tord would be there to explain and help me through it. A good friend.

One day in October, Tord wasn't at his locker. The walls and windows covered with Halloween decorations and some even Day of the Dead. One teacher even had little skeleton stencils doing everyday things hung up on her classroom window. They were doing things like driving, cooking,
Singing, dancing, and other shit like that. I've been more joyful lately so those little skeletons greatly amused me. I still saw no sign of tord anywhere around, I thought maybe he was out sick today or something, then the memories came back of what happened just a month ago. I shook my head, and scurried to my next class.

(Tord's POV)

I walked down the empty sidewalk as busy cats filled the street, my nose began to sniffle and I let out a loud sneeze. I had caught the cold a few days ago, leaving Thomas's house actually, and I've been sick lately, mostly staying home in bed with my dad watching over me. But today I had gotten a call from the others, and I new I could turn them down, so I walked and walked, going to a place I know we would not be easily seen. My bright red glowing pendant stuck out of my pocket as I hiked up a steep hill to the gathering. It was then I saw the others, already dressed in their usual black robes, red ruby pendants hanging around their necks. I sighed and walked towards the circle noticing some poor kid that I suspected was taken from his parents to be here, to be sacrificed...

I grabbed a black cloth out of my bag, and wrapped it around my shoulders, I placed the pendant around my neck, letting the red glow drown out the little boys screams.

(Back to Tomo)

School had just ended, and I was completely exhausted. Gym was extra long today because of kids testing so we had to do extra laps....torture...

As I was walking home, I spotted out of the corner of my eye....someone walking toward me.. I turned out fist up and ready to swing when I saw. It was just another kid, he looked about the same age as me, he held his hands up in defense. His short brown hair spilling over his face covering his eyes.

"Sorry Sorry!!, I didn't mean to scare you, I just wanted to see where you were going, since I walk the same way home..." he said with a stutter. His voice was high pitched, but not girly, he seemed friendly, and even a bit cute as he was now. I shook the thought away and laughed nervously.

"Yeah uh.. I'm sorry too, didn't mean to scare you...you just startled me...uh what's your name?" I asked, trying not to make the situation more awkward then it already was. He held his hand up and over his head grabbing the hair on the back of his head.

"Uh..it's Edd, yeah...what's yours?" He asked me back. I stood there smiling, he relaxed a little at my sudden change of appearance and smiled back.

"Names Thomas, but my friends call me Tom" I said passionately, wanting him to feel comfortable. He smiled at me and poked my chest.

"Can I call you Tom?" He asked in a silly tone. I stood there smirking and lean down to his height.

"Are you my friend~?" I asked in a seductive tone, making his whole body shake. He blushed a bit, and shook his head yes.

"Good" I said smiling back away from his face. I waved to him while walking away.

"See ya Edd, I have to get home, maybe we can talk some more next time!!" I shouted while walking.

"W-wait!!" He screamed running after me. I stopped and turned to see him smiling.

"I live this way too.."

"Oh, well do you want to walk with me then?" I said with a chuckle.

He laughed, and happily obliged. We walked and walked, talking about life, it was actually really nice having someone to talk too. I finally made it to my dorm and we parted ways, what I didn't notice before he left, was the bright red pendant sticking out of his hoodie.
